Do you worry about an attack in London?!

No you have one radical element of one branch of Islam. Did the tabloids scream about the evils of Christianity during the IRA campaign in this country?
Why not there were two religious elements in that conflict.

I think the issue is that the ira attacks werent anywhere near as self admitting when it comes to claiming their motivations were religious rather than political.

There was segregation and general mistrust of the irish/northern irish

Rather dubious comparison, the IRA weren't fighting for their religion but for a united Ireland. There are protestants living in the Republic and there have been protestant republicans in the IRA. Obviously the vast majority of unionists are protestants but the IRA isn't specifically anti protestant but anti unionist.

Years ago I used to have to check my car each day for bombs. Initailly it was a bit disconcerting but it soon became routine and you just got on with life. No it doesn't worry me at all.

People getting on the tube after 7/7 with a rucksack would get the once-over. Thinks "does he look like a suicide bomber", it only lasted a week or so.

No, as stupid as terrorists are....they aren't THAT stupid

Everyone expected the Euros to get hit, so they targeted the bastille day in Nice

Everyone expects London, but chances are they will go elsewhere

You could double bluff it, but I think the chances are low

I had to cross London with a rucksack shortly after 7/7 - even though I'm not of middle eastern appearance could see people's though process in their eyes - lot of thoughts went through my head on that journey as well.

Most of my acquaintances in London tried to get back to normal as quickly as possible with the sentiment of not being afraid by it and let them "win".

Not going to stop me going anywhere,But of course i hope it doesnt happen but sadly we know its only a matter of time. :/
Isis and the other terrorists are just cowards.

I have faith in our security services though.

My wife (pakistani heritage so looks the part) had to get on the tube with a rucksak the following week. She did get quite a few strange looks.

Nope i have to go to london once or twice a month and it never crossed my mind until a friend bought it up when we were in euston station waiting for the train home still there is nothing i can do about it so if it happens it happens.

My friend on the other hand was terrified while we were in london she had never been before then we heard about the train attacks in germany and the stabbings in hyde park that was it her mind went into overdrive.

Unfortunately it is probably going to happen, but do I worry about it....not really, the same way I don't worry about the other million things that could kill me every day that are out of my control

I think it's a matter of when rather than if, London will be hit at some point but it could happen in any other city as well

Some of my earliest experiences of London were when stuff with the IRA was kicking off - few times as a child I was sat waiting in Waterloo or Paddington station due to bombscares, remote detonation of abandoned packages, etc. so doesn't really bother me that much its nothing particularly new.
