Nothing to suggest Juve will be very dominant in Europe
The person who was in charge at Utd when he was there isn't there any more
English league is a top league and a good challenge, unlike Serie A.

Finally over the line. Cracking signing. Excited to see him play next season, he's supposed to be one of the best young talents around.

Absolutely love him on Football Manager, signed him a lot!. Hope he gets game time and does well, will enjoy being able to watch him more easily.

Joe Allen's having his medical ahead of a move to Stoke by the sound of things. Surprised this moved forward so quickly, I had fully expected him to push for a move back to Swansea.

He needs to calm down. Ibra only has 1 (2 years at most) left in him at this level and then Martial can get No. 9 back.

and what does he do with his personal brand AM9 in the mean time?
There is also no gaurantee he will get it back once Ibra leaves.

Utd really should have let him know earlier imo

Martial was married until he had an affair last year, talk about fame going to your head.

It was some **** trying to work her way through a number of the squad.

'cause only famous people have affairs :(.

(also; over heard a depressing story a footballer was telling about his holiday in Vegas, similar vein.)

He's definitely worth more than the €40m he went to Napoli for now, whether he's worth more than double is debatable though. Don't forget that he's coming off a brilliant season where he broke the Serie A scoring records with 36 league goals.

2013/14 - 24 goals total
2014/15 - 29
2015/16 - 38

Juventus don't have anyone even close to his level and signing him, if he keeps his form, pretty much guarantees that they win the league for the next few seasons. Their highest league goal scorers last year were Dybala with 19 and Mandzukic with 10... Huguain scored 36.

Mandzukic scores when it matters, contributes a huge amount on the pitch, dybala is young - in no world is that amount of money a good investment for Higuain, same for Pogba really, stupid money being thrown about.

quantity vs quality ???

blatantly stupid comparison simply because none of those have been transferred to the EPL this season where numerous times in this thread its been mentioned prices are stupid vs BL where its at a much more reasonable level

Shurrle didnt exactly impress at the EPL (although that was when he was 1 or two years younger)

Dembele may look good......but who knows how his career will end up.

At least £40m of Pogba's deal is due to TV money etc etc

edit or put it another way

Shurrle would have probably cost Utd 35-40m, Gotze at least £30m and Dembele £25-30 (no dsprespect to Oxford but if he is worth £18m , Dembele must be worth double that)

That sort of money for someone who'll be 30 next year is ridiculous.

Meh, agree in principle; though football transfer fee's are just what the market/value/selling club dictate.

Spending 'big' (eww hate that term in football) on young players is justifiable in the sense it is spread over the longevity of their career and they (normally) retain a resale value.

Spending 'big' money on older players makes less sense; but they do have experience.
