I don't get any vibrations through the pegs, just the bars.

Is the front wheel balanced properly and have you checked your bearings?

I do have the bar end mirrors that some people say act like bar end weights. This in theory removes a lot of vibrations, but I can't remember what it was like before them to verify :p

Yeah both wheels were balanced correctly last week when I had new rubber fitted, how do I check those? Take the wheel off?

I've thought about the bar end mirrors, do they affect filtering at all or are they a flush fit?

I lock the steering and check for play in the front wheel/head bearing with the front wheel off the ground.

The bar end mirrors make filtering trickier as they add about 1.5 inches to the width of the bike but more importantly they raise the handlebar height so it's harder to dip under wing mirrors.

Some people put the bar end mirrors underneath but they're all absolutely mental.

He can't filter so its fine for him out there :p

I spend about half my riding time in France and Italy ;)

Last time I was riding in France I was filtering with some french riders, didn't realise it wasn't legal until Feb this year?! the french are always so helpful towards riders though, always moving over and signalling for riders to pass them.

It's illegal in most regions in France, but no one cares :p

It's actually legal in a few places: http://www.drive-france.com/blog/new-motorcycle-rules-2016/

Yeah the French drivers are fantastic when it come to bikes, but probably not for the reason you think.

If a French rider gets blocked they always knock the wing mirrors off. The drivers soon learn ;)

I filtered on the french (or maybe Belgium) motorway on the way back to the Eurotunnel, it was like the parting of the seas! I was literally having to stick a leg/arm out to say thanks every 2-3 seconds, for a good 5 minutes.

Nope the air frame one, it was discounted to £120 which was as much as I wanted to pay for the rare time where the weather's good enough to really need full mesh.

My new number plate came but I've noticed the old one is stuck on with sticky pads and the new one doesn't have any holes.

What are the stickiest sticky pads one can buy?

I wish Dainese stuff was more available when I bought my jackets. So much nice stuff.

Look for 3M VHB (very high bond) stuff. You can pick up a sheet quite cheap off eBay. I have similar stuff on my front fender extender and it's stuck fine through winter & summer for about 6k miles now.

I'm surprised it fits to be honest I'd always had them down as a brand styled for little Italian racers.

This. I'm 6ft 3 but skinny, when I tried on some dainese jackets they fitted lovely in the chest, but the bottom of the jacket was up by my belly button and the sleeves were 6 inches up my arms! :D They're built for 5ft 6 skinny Italian MotoGP riders! :D

Ahh, so they also cater for the retired 5ft 6 Italian MotoGP riders who have been living the good life ;) :p

Getting anything to fit for us tall blokes is always hard TBH, it's why I've got so much Furygan kit!
