Yes you are right this started in the 20th Century, the 80's and 90's I guess.

Those parents who work should be fined then, brings the responsibility back to the parents and not the teachers who can't even breathe on them without being struck off.

I would say their parents are the ones that need to be slapped senseless.

Children and people never did anything wrong before 1980, obviously.

Punishing parents over the actions of problem children or just children who make mistakes/are being typical children, is ridiculous. It solves nothing.

Fully support him and his actions

Just the other day I walked by a kid that was no more than 10 with a cigarette in his hand and telling his trailer trash mother to " **** off you ******* **** " and this was in Nottinghill Gate. Yesterday I got on the tube only to find 3 chav kids lying across 5 seats each blasting music off their iphones and loudly saying "oh bruv, I just hope some fool starts talkin <unknown gibberish word> about my music yo - cant wait to deck him" and his other goon buddies nodding their heads with excitement. I see countless examples every single day of the scummy youth this island seems to propagate


I've lived in a number of countries and travelled all over the world and children in the UK are, on average and in my experience, the most ill-behaved youth I've come across. And it's no wonder why, just looking at some of the responses in this thread it's clear that the education of some "mature" members is severely lacking.

"oh they're just putting their feet on the chairs, whats the big deal". This speaks volumes.

Yes, but if they are so fragile and vulnerable at such a young age then surely they should have been accompanied by an adult?

Let's face it, if they were properly perentally supervised then none of this would have happened.

No, if there was someone supervising them they maybe would not have been assaulted by an old man.

I was completely unaware that it was illegal to be out and about at such ages unsupervised. It's funny because lots of old people I know say; 'back in my day, when we were kids we went all over on our own'... same generation that attacked a child (8-11 years old) for sitting with their feet up. Amazing.

You're saying "no" if they were supervised it wouldn't have happened. Lol.

It's not illegal for the kids to be out but it could be classed as child neglect.

I would have stepped in, like I've said previously (I've stepped in to incidents before), if I saw a grown man hitting a child.

So no, it is not illegal. I do find it amusing that the generation that this man is of; would be the generation talking about 'how back in my day, we used to go all over at your age' blah blah, and yet he is the problem now in creating an unsafe travelling environment.
 
There are a few posters here whose arms I wouldn't mind breaking because I find their views utterly bizarre, that's fair game right?

It's not acceptable to assault someone because of their opinions, no.

Actions and opinions are different things.
