Punching kids on public transport

Guess what 20th century kids were the same it's not some new phenomena and it's got sod all to do with whether their parents are on benefits or not some of the nicest people I know grew up in single parent families on benefits and some of the most unpleasant individuals I know had every chance in life with both parents around and making good money.

Yes you are right this started in the 20th Century, the 80's and 90's I guess.

Those parents who work should be fined then, brings the responsibility back to the parents and not the teachers who can't even breathe on them without being struck off.

The cane. Now that had results.

Anyone who thinks such action is acceptable should take a long hard look in a mirror and slap themselves senseless.

Not saying its okay but lets be honest kids are worse these days even at that age they can be nasty little *****.

I would say their parents are the ones that need to be slapped senseless.

a parent should be allowed more room for discipline, and by that I don't mean beating the daylights out of them, but its gone OTT on political correctness now, I remember the caning in school days.

I do not think it is 'political correctness gone mad' that stopped children being beaten in schools. I think it is called 'not being a ****** person'.

Children and people never did anything wrong before 1980, obviously.

Punishing parents over the actions of problem children or just children who make mistakes/are being typical children, is ridiculous. It solves nothing.

That was not what happened though, he approached them, twice the second time resulting in an assault on three children (who's ages added together are still less than half his age).

Hopefully he is arrested and charged with assault, mystifying that people did not intervene.

Ditto, he seems a bit noncey, he'll be in huge trouble shortly I expect perhaps prison or a hell if a beating.

Fully support him and his actions

Just the other day I walked by a kid that was no more than 10 with a cigarette in his hand and telling his trailer trash mother to " **** off you ******* **** " and this was in Nottinghill Gate. Yesterday I got on the tube only to find 3 chav kids lying across 5 seats each blasting music off their iphones and loudly saying "oh bruv, I just hope some fool starts talkin <unknown gibberish word> about my music yo - cant wait to deck him" and his other goon buddies nodding their heads with excitement. I see countless examples every single day of the scummy youth this island seems to propagate

I've lived in a number of countries and travelled all over the world and children in the UK are, on average and in my experience, the most ill-behaved youth I've come across. And it's no wonder why, just looking at some of the responses in this thread it's clear that the education of some "mature" members is severely lacking.

"oh they're just putting their feet on the chairs, whats the big deal". This speaks volumes.

Should have punched him then broke his arm. We need the tines back when the police dealt with with a good kicking. After a while even chaos learn.

Seriously; you've just said that an 8/9/10/11 year old should have their arm broken for sitting with their feet up?

Yes, if the little scroat ignores people then give him something to remember. Bones heal. Lessons live a life.

Eh? I have no idea, I figure the children were, you know, going somewhere.

Yes, but if they are so fragile and vulnerable at such a young age then surely they should have been accompanied by an adult?

Let's face it, if they were properly perentally supervised then none of this would have happened.

... Actually astounding.

You would seriously break the arm of a child for sitting with their feet up on a train.

No, if there was someone supervising them they maybe would not have been assaulted by an old man.

I was completely unaware that it was illegal to be out and about at such ages unsupervised. It's funny because lots of old people I know say; 'back in my day, when we were kids we went all over on our own'... same generation that attacked a child (8-11 years old) for sitting with their feet up. Amazing.

Whadya mean, no? I'm saying if they were supervised it wouldn't have happened.

You're saying "no" if they were supervised it wouldn't have happened. Lol.

It's not illegal for the kids to be out but it could be classed as child neglect.

I said; if there was someone supervising them maybe they would not have been assaulted by an old man. You quoted me saying it .

I would have stepped in, like I've said previously (I've stepped in to incidents before), if I saw a grown man hitting a child.

So no, it is not illegal. I do find it amusing that the generation that this man is of; would be the generation talking about 'how back in my day, we used to go all over at your age' blah blah, and yet he is the problem now in creating an unsafe travelling environment.

There are a few posters here whose arms I wouldn't mind breaking because I find their views utterly bizarre, that's fair game right?

It's not acceptable to assault someone because of their opinions, no.

Actions and opinions are different things.
