Black Lives Matter protest in London and Nottingham

Denial of the real world and it isn't just the Police it's the whole public sector who ALWAYS have to tread on eggshells when people are using colour for an argument.
Who said the Police have orders to operate differently ? it simply stands to sense to a Policeman to always take account of a persons colour when intervening as they can always play the race card which white people can't do.

You are obviously a regular protester and also a coloured man. I mean, if you were not, you could not know these things... unless some grudge has made you feel that you are inferior in society's eyes

BRB just going to use my colour to get free parking. Why didnt anyone tell me of this?

At a recent BLM protest in the US, the person leading the group forced the white people there supporting them to move to the back of the march. Surely that is doing exactly the opposite of countering racism? I don't see any reason for this to be in the UK at all.

how many of you are black?

how many of them are black?

I'm sorry if this offends people, but to me #BLM in the UK looks like the usual crowd of lefty rabble-rousers using victim politics to further general angst about capitalism, borders, law and order etc.

All lives matter, equally...

OMG I must be racist as I don't rate the worth of life based on the colour of the skin... pffft!

Co-ordinated protests in multiple cities, interviews with different media outlets all on message, social media broadcasts to co-ordinate support.

Better organised than most political parties right now, I'll give them that.

Is there any policemen here that can comment on the orders they received to leave black people alone?

Never. But equally there is no doubt in my mind that they are being extra careful with black protests like this for fear of being accused of being overly aggressive and literally playing into the hands of the protesters.

Really though, this "protest" is pathetic, everyone knows it - nobody says it. At least the protests in American seem to have some tenuous basis. I can't help but think they're trying to pretend the same thing happens over here.

It sort of reminds me of when the Americans make a really good TV show, then they try and bring it over to another country and its just lame and embarrassing.

if your not black you have no idea what its like to be a black person in a white world.

Explain then. Tell us about how you're being persecuted, abused, insulted, what other words are there? Oppressed? Is that one still in fashion? What about cultural appropriation? Can we use that one?

I come from a country with proper racism. And I mean proper. You have no clue what racism is.

Don't do it, he's clearly just trolling for effect. I think we should close this thread. The more we talk about rubbish like this, the more we validate it as being an issue that needs talking about.

There certainly are issues of racism which need to be spoken about and resolved in various parts of the world, but some hippy student protesters lying on a railway track who can't make their mind up about what they're protesting about should be ignored.
