What have you done to your car today?

Those ads are a scam. There was a 350z one last month. Standard 'moved abroad, car in storage' crap.

Bought one

Mazda 3 2.2 D Sport 185. Buying privately from the original owner, 2011 63k miles, full main dealer history. New Michelin Crossclimate tyres, rretty much all the toys on it - keyless, nav, bose, heated seats and winscreen, front and rear parking sensors. Private plate included - the seller is moving to Canada so its no good to him. £5900, seems like loads of car for the money.

Same car as mine. And the same colour.
Those wheels are not the original btw.

Enjoy the dpf. Mine would regeneration every 200 mlies and that was decent motorway use. Would take 12 miles to regeneration at 30 mpg when doing it. This meant my mpg was high 30's most of the time lol.

With it gutted and mapped they put out 210ps.

Audio is nice, I suggest getting an Eonon GA5163F headunit. The stock satnav is too small.

If you have any questions just ask as I have had mine to bits in various forms so far :p

I suggest you buy or download forscan. And get a obd2 Bluetooth adapter. You will want to keep an eye on the cam chain as they are a known faulty part by mazda.
So much so that they put out a recall notice if it is taken to a garage and found to be above 10.44 degrees. Mines at 7.61 degrees but has only done 44k miles. They tend to start stretching at 60 to 80k and have to be replaced.
Default stretch is 6 degrees.

Mazda would have updated the software so that if it detects cam stretch the dpf light will flash... yep the dpf light of all things... if your dpf need to regeneration it will be a solid light.

My understanding of the DPF issue where it regenerates too often is when the service interval wasnt reset so doesn't know it's been serviced. I forget why this causes it to regen too often but the fix is simple enough and it's been serviced on the nose by mazda main dealers so I should be ok.

Doubt I'll be changing anything on it, I rarely use navigation, so long as the Bluetooth works then I've got everything I need!

In that case just keep an eye on the chain :) the new chain is a 1k bill -.-

My dpf counter was reset by mazda but 100 miles later it regenerated.... I even had it "cleaned" but 200 oDD miles later it regenerated.

So.. off it went.

Hopefully you won't have any issues

Washed it

Well, actually, took it to the local handwash to have it washed

Can't remember when it was last washed, defo not this year, probably last time it was serviced :p

Almost there though, it's now a race to get it back together for an appointment this Friday for a new fabric roof.

Collected the latest of my Zafiras. All good so far, and getting a phone call a little while after I got home from the dealer (to check I had got home ok, and remind me to check my email ref the 3rd party warranty) was a nice touch.

Got a better feeling about this one :)
