What PC games are you playing?

Life is strange. Finished the free episode 1 today and immediately bought the other 4. Completely hooked - such a measured, engrossing and quality story. Love games like this.

Told Mrs Wunkley "I'm playing a game where I'm an 18 year old girl just gone to college". Her answer: "ok dear." It's no wonder people don't understand gaming if you put things like that is it :p

Still trying to play Xcom 2 but it is totally unplayable. Crashes every 10 minutes. Everyone on the Firaxis forum has been complaining for months but they seemingly don't care.

That's a shame I had planned on playing this soon, I've got it installed ready too. I may have to buy MGS V and give that a go next. Mind you I still haven't got around to playing Just Cause 3 nor Witcher 3. I'd be best doing one of those next seeing as they're installed, I'm so slow at playing games it's a joke :)

Bioshock infinite these past few days off. One of my favourite games. Only really ever played it on the 360 when it came out. Not really much on the PC.

Fancied completing it again in 21:9 glory. Still looks and plays beautifully.

Just completed the main game, now to move onto the DLC which I have yet to play.

I just finished playing half life 1 and now moving onto half life 2, still holds up really well and I have forgotten a lot so feels mostly new.

I haven't played Half Life 2 for years but I have completed it many times. So it doesn't feel completely brand new as I remember it well but still enjoying it.

Awesome awesome game.

Tried to play S.T.A.L.K.E.R managed to do about an hour? Then just lost the will.

Map display in the PDA is awful, radar/minimap is awful, atmosphere and setting is amazing, I love Metro 2033 vibe type games but I just couldn't deal with the head sway/bob when you walk, made me sick after 30 minutes. Graphics and some animations are just very dated and showing their age now.

The second mission which sent me past a train bridge guarded by about 8 private military with body armour and machine guns and all the game gave me was pistol with 100 ammo a baguette and a 2 bandages  it was no contest.

What you need is the Stalker Reclamation project, It is customizable on install allowing you to make changes and it also adds the option of freeplay at the end of the main storyline http://www.metacognix.com/stlkrsoc/
You can configure your game easily with the Modifier program (optional; see docs for manual configuration)
Many customizable features:

Skip unwanted side quests.
Change quest time limits without having to change files.
Configure respawns for more or less mutants and NPCs.
Turn off head-bobbing or simply reduce it.
See suit stats before you buy, keep unique weapons from deteriorating.
Tweak actor parameters - carry weight, view height, vulnerability, endurance, etc.
Use a pseudo-hotkey (defaults to Esc F1) for antirad.
Adjust PDA/trade/search/inventory screens to improve ergonomics.
Intra-level jump for fast travel across levels.
Carry explosives.
Quickly add/configure/disable/re-enable the most popular mini-mods.
Start anywhere. The Zone Is Open.
The TZIO feature includes Free Play and comes with TSL16b's front-end dialog.

You need to think of alternatives in situations like that, find another route and avoid them altogether or bribe them. Both are possible. To bribe them approach them on the road and the checkpoint commander will wave you over, then you either pay him or you say no and go back the way you came and use a different strategy.

I hesitated a bit to buy it with only 3 episodes available but after finishing Showstopper about 8 times I've lost all my doubts;p The challenges/escalations and elusive targets are a great idea, I still have loads to do in every mission. You can get more gameplay out of those three episodes than from many full AAA titles.

It's a bit unrealistic as people don't get at all suspicious when you constantly follow them around but I can live with it.

I completed the Vampire Magician challenges last night. Decided the best way to do it was to kill everyone else in the building apart from the targets, and then lead them to their respective "death zones." As you said, pretty unrealistic at times, but damn good fun:D

I've yet to tackle those but even reading challenge names made me giggle a bit:D

I still have to do Silent Assassin suit only but I think I'll leave that until I clear other Showstopper challenges. Moving to Sapienza for a change of pace as I've only done it once:p Not to mention I haven't even completed the Marrakesh mission yet, it's amazing what you can get out of just three levels.

Layers of Fear

Not really a game, it's a walkthrough horror story. The story, execution and implementation of the horror is simply sublime.

Mass Effect.

Played all of the Dragon Age games and that's now one of my all time favourite series. Very impressed by Mass Effect so far - Bioware really do know how to make great RPGs. I look forward to completing the trilogy before Andromeda comes out. Uploaded some high-res gameplay in 21:9 for those wondering how it plays.

Starting Mass Effect series for the first time... Oh boy, how I envy you :D

Yeah you're in for a hell of a ride. Well Jell!

I started playing Primordia last night. Excellent so far and love the character interactions!
