Dumb question here, but is this a 19/13mm fitting or a 13/10mm fitting?

I'm asking this question because in my build log it says they're 13/10 fittings, but when I measure the tube it's 19/13. So, I want to be sure of what I'm needing to get before I spend any money.

Both very unhelpful answers. I have provided a rule against the fitting. All I'm asking is what the correct measurement is (ie, where to correctly measure to & from). Anyone else able to be more helpful?

Wasnt trying to be obtuse but there are some many fittings nowadays for flexible or rigid tubing.

And then with some they are meant to slide over the middle, with others you glue an end on your tube and it sits on the middile bit.

Fittings are always described by the size of the tube they take. You have failed to supply enough info for anybody to make a call expect a wild guess.

Would be helpful to supply make and type eg compression/ghost/revolver.

If you get my gist?

Surely that's your answer then? If your tube is 19/13 then the fittings must be 19/13 as well. You would not be able to fit 19/13 on 13/10 fittings........

You need to measure the barb itself. They're 13/10. I would strongly recommend that you try to avoid the outright rejection of help as you have here, as buying a vernier is actually solid advice for future reference. You seem to be sort of demanding the answer you want without answering any follow up questions.

Would have thought it was obvious just by looking at it what the fitting was? It's a Monsoon Compression fitting. The OD & ID of the soft tube used is 19/13. The tube slides over the silver barb & the gold compression ring....... compresses it.

A vernier is helpful.. If you bought the correct fittings then all you have to do is use a vernier to measure said fitting and tubing.

I need to know what size the fitting is because I bought it a long time ago & I have since forgotten. I'm in the process of going from one computer to a new one, so the fittings are coming to the new one until I get all hard tubing bent. All but two of the fittings are fine, but the one photographed and another have seized up. Using a couple of plyers & coins (a 10p, 1p and 20p) I have been unsuccessful in loosening the barbs from the compression rings. The 10p and 1p coins have both been bent out of shape due to the force used. Both Fittings are wrecked too, so they're getting binned.

Must be a 13/19 m8, ive just measured 3 of my fittings of different brands that are 13/16 and the compression nut only has a 16-17mm hole in it, that one looks massive so i dont think it would grip down on a 16mm OD tubing.

These are the specs of one of the 19/13 Monsoon fittings taken from the OCUK product page.

Specifications:
Material: Brass
Color: Chrome
Dimensions (WxH): 24.5 x 20.8mm
Fitting inner diamater: 10.2mm
Thread length: 5mm
Tubing compatibility: 19mm OD / 13mm ID

Again not obvious. Every manufacturer keeps bring out different fittings all the time and from a top view it didn't need to be a screw on compression fitting or even a mansoon.

And again I will repeat. I know you have 13/10 on your build list but the fitting will be whatever your tube is. In this case 19/13. It's totally irrelevant as yo what the dimensions of the fitting actually is so long as you are certain of your tube size.
