Thanks! Preordered. Might change my mind pending a couple other things. Couple queries :
Does amazon take payment immediately? (I assume not)
Is there a way of turning off the starting noise for the console? (I imagine it will make a silly noise on start up which will tire fast!)
The console starting noise only appeared when you turned it on on the console itself. Now it's doing it when you start with the controller, too. I quite like it but I see how it could be annoying. In the next OS update, there will be options to turn it off altogether, leave it on or just have it on when you start via the console.
Yea now that it's done with controllers I can see it getting annoying.
Is that confirmed by Microsoft it will be in an update?
Yes, but old xbox one was the same.
No, it wasn't. The reason I asked was because the power supply has a fan in which kept running continuously in standby. It was loud enough to keep me awake at night. So I could never leave my Xbone on standby because of that.

Does anyone know of an actual working fix for the intermittent controller problem? Have had it nearly a year now to the point where I only use my X1 via IR remote for TV/Catchup etc. :/. Really want to play gears 4 but don't think it warrants buying an S!

Controllers disconnect frequently and at random, sometimes every 10 seconds sometimes only once in an hour. Have tried tried new controllers and existing controllers with other consoles no problems.
It's quite well known / publicised and the official response is 'buy a new xbox

How do you remove '0' achievement games from the list on Xbox one?
On the 360 you could delete them, I read that they are removed automatically on the Xbone if you don't play them/play other games after but that doesn't appear to be the case.
I know it's not a big deal but it annoys me

Wow that sucks and is a ****** response from MS. I can't say ive ever had that issue. I know it's far from a solution but you could hard wire the controller via USB?
Yeah it's a real pain, seems more common on Day One Edition consoles which makes me think it's a H/W issue
. It started happening whilst playing through Rise of the Tomb Raider and I just about finished it, but it's completely unusable now
