What have you done to your car today?

If only he posted a thread where people told him a 120d wouldn't do it for him :p

Haha, hey it's not a bad motor at all! But this time it is for sensible reasons, I've split up with my missus so my house purchase just became twice as expensive, I'm gonna need a bit more money to furnish it etc hence selling it really, get settled then get a brand new motor in a year or so.

Had the Glanza V mapped today on Greddy E-manage Ultimate, happy with the result as it's still on stock turbo and standard internals with a few mods. Not bad for a 1.3L which weighs about 880kg :p

Does it have a turbo which is the same size as the engine? :p
Haha little CT-9, going Hybrid TD04 and Forged engine after I have done all the brakes and handling upgrades. So quite a ways off atm.

That must feel terrible to drive with those dips and peaks in the torque.
I said about that. Apparently its to do with how the dyno reads due to the tyres being wet. Certainly does not feel like that under acceleration, it's very smooth. Looking at other printouts it seems very similar.

Look at the boost curve in the second print-out, the dips correlate with dips in boost. Looks like whatever is controlling boost isn't doing a very good job

Finally got some injectors after a complete drama of waiting 5 weeks then being told with 2 working days before it's getting mapped that I don't have any injectors.
Fortunately the good fellas over at coordsport had HKS on the shelf so a short drive to Dudley later and my woes are solved. Grabbing the ECU in the morning with a base tune on it for this setup and will get it started and leak checked.
My mood was absolutely foul yesterday but today is much improved!

Picked up my new Scorpion Exhaust! First thing that struck me was how light it is. Hopefully get it fitted this weekend if I can find a cheap exhaust cutter. No way I am paying £30 for something I will only use once :p

Sorry, taken with a potato so awful quality.

Cambridge or Staffs? :D

Yeah I'm waiting for a heap of parts to arrive so I can replace the piston rings, head gasket and timing chain before winding it up another notch. Nothing wrong with it but it's on 90k+ miles and wont hurt it plus the timing chain is starting to rattle slightly at higher revs.

Once that's all settled in it'll be Shrick cam, 550CC injectors, 17%pulley and another remap :D

Cleaned contacts on O/S front indicator and rear break light on the X5, both lights were out. ARB refresh planned for next week.

Touched up a stone chip which appeared on my rear wheel arch when pressure washing the car last Friday :( It's been bothering me all week, touched it in last night and finished with a top coat of lacquer this morning. Still bothering me because I know it's there, but at least it's much less visible now, you can barely see it unless you're stood within 6 feet of it. I hate being so obsessive about the car sometimes :(
