The rape one is a pretty easy Google search ...
So a single case in September 2011 and suddenly all TV licence inspectors are rapists.
Same logic as all muslims are terrorists...oh hang on, this is GD after all.

I wasn't condoning the comment, I was just providing you with the source for his opinion.
It's basically a tax and we don't have a choice when it comes to paying, we have the illusion of choice.
It's not possible to avoid watching BBC and live television, who in modern society does not watch live television at some point? nobody, it should be scrapped.

Just to clarify does this new enforcement only apply to BBC iPlayer or does it encompass all on-demand content?

I'd rather they just encrypt the bbc and if you want access, pay the licence fee.

Be nice if there was a better accommodation for licensing of individuals rather than premises - I've been in a few situations before where there is no license covering a premise but no way of personally being licensed for my own consumption and complications in regard to the premise - exactly circumstances a bit convoluted for a post - and no accommodation in the BBC system. They talk about modernisation but some parts of the system are hopelessly archaic.
Seems just to be iplayer but there is a bit of a lack of clarity around that point - I've a relative who still hasn't got a straight answer on it from the BBC and won't just take mine or anyone elses word for it.

No one else is going to want it. C4, itv will always want as many people watching as possible.
BBC should just be allowed to use adverts for their on demand service if you haven't got a licence

Do I need a TV Licence for all on demand programmes?
No. You don’t need a licence if you only ever watch on demand or catch up programmes on services other than BBC iPlayer* (and you also never watch live TV programmes on any channel, including on iPlayer).
You don’t need to be covered by a licence to watch any films or TV shows that you buy online.
*You don’t need a licence to watch S4C TV on demand or listen to radio on iPlayer.
At one time iPlayer was a godsend for me (I'm quite happy to pay for content I consume) but spend a fair bit of my life in situations not accommodated by the licensing - that said now what was Top Gear has gone to Amazon (I'm subscribed to prime) I have little reason to watch anything on the BBC.
