Was not even sure where to post this either!
So I want to buy BF1 but having played the beta my FPS is dipping into the forties and I would like a little more. I have -
Asus Sabertooth 990fx mobo
AMD 8320e CPU (clocked a little)
MSI 290p GPU
8gb RAM
120hz monitor
The setup is very well balanced as it is, with no bottlenecks (I can hit 95% utilization on both the gpu and cpu but never higher).
Now my understanding of DX12 is that it benefits the CPU and I have read it seems that the boosts seen on FX CPU's is really good.
Bearing that in mind, and whether my reading I correct, if one was to see how little they could get away with to achieve a sixty plus FPS, that trying a new GPU would be the first port of call?
If I need to upgrade further I will, cost is not a real issue but at my old age I only really want quite good, rather than the latest. Might go second hand for the other bits if I need then or might even look at Zen when it is out.
Thanks in advance for any help.
