If farm animals are on the same intellectual level as dogs why do we need dogs to herd them, could just train the sheep to herd themselves

Pigs are a farm animal that are considered as intelligent, and possibly more so, than dogs. People do train them.

Not that the ability to be trained is an accurate gauge of intelligence because a lot of intelligent animals aren't as subservient as dogs. Cats, for example.

But that's neither here nor there because AFAIK cats and dogs aren't tasty when cut into strips, cooked, lashed with brown sauce, and place between two pieces of bread.

So your solution is to eat processed crap vegggie burgers which apmost certainly will not have a decent balance of macros let alone aminos etc. (Not to mention taste and texture)

Also i think youll find qe get more of our peas an rice from other countries than we do meat.

Nearly everything in supermarkets is british/eu so they can stick a union jack on it.

Whole saleers though is mostly south american stuff true.

I don't have a solution for everyone. I just do my bit, I don't eat any land meat , yet I am very healthy and fit. I don't even spend a lot of money for food and buy the cheapest stuff.

Yes they stick that union jack everywhere as if they some sort of freedom fighters. I think there are many land owners in UK and they gotta do something with their land and the easiest thing is to use it for animal farming.

Yep that's almost correct. Except it's not that easy to train one dog to do the job for many generations of sheep, who'd be killed and born and killed and so on.

It would be inefficient to spend amount of time you train a dog for every sheep that is born.

However if you really wanted to train one sheep you could do so. However a sheep in this job would be less effective, than a dog, as it doesn't know how to bark, it is not that quick when running and with lower endurance. Also other sheep would not be that scared of the sheepsheep and would not be responsive to herding.

Another important aspect is animal physiology. A sheep, as a grazing animal requires to spend almost all the time eating grass. A sheep would simply not have enough energy if it ate less grass.

So you mearly contribute to the destruction of the oceans instead of the forests

actually you didn't specify farmed animals in the post I quoted and my criticism was of veganism so excluding lesser animals isn't really a valid argument against what I'd said as I pointed out previously

I am not concerned about lesser animals either and I'm not a vegan, so I am not the right person to ask.

I didn't ask you initially, you quoted my post referencing vegans and then presented an argument that concerned excluding lesser animals. And then later decided that your post only concerned farm animals... how it therefore related to my criticism of veganism as being hypocritical isn't quite clear.

I should note that I don't have an issue with say basing a diet around eating only less intelligent animals than most mammals.

Well except that many sheep live for years and years as theyre breeding/wool stock.

And i dont mean training a sheep to be a sheep dog, just training the sheep to move as you want instead of having to be forced/guided.

Something that takes only a few weeks with a dog, training it to come by name

reminds me of this.

this is funny to!

Not watched the videos, but. Oh god, you're so funny that I don't even know where to start. If I wanted I could tell you why you are wrong, I could tell why are these videos are not reality, but acts of comedy.

But I won't. After all you've not been able to project your thought with an element of speech, a sentence. Just with some funny pictures. What a dum dum

What does that have to do with anything? Your claim was that he didn't kill anyone - that is likely complete nonsense as he was awarded the iron cross for his part in the battle of the Somme and also participated in a few other notable battles in WW1 as an NCO in the German army!

Yes I was already told that. I had not thought of this beforehand. I only spoke of the concentration camps and in in figurative speech.

But you don't actually know if he killed someone in WW1 do you. You're just blablaing. Maybe he missed all his shots?

So youd advocate drowing/suffocation as a method of slaughter for land animals?

My concern lies with torture and abuse of farmed animals. My lesser concern is with all other animals who suffer less and don't really mind if another fish went missing from their flock. With that lesser concern in mind I would not eat those other animals too. But the sheer amount of people eating meet, and our bloody capitalists backing meat produce, leaving little range of affordable vegetarian foods in the shops (even though they could make them really cheap), leaves me with little option, but to declare myself a hunter (ie fisher) and allow myself eating fish, which I can also retrieve free of charge from the sea myself.

Just stop posting dude. You're being trolled.

Could be trolled. But the things they ask and the level of intelligence I expect from these people allow for a genuine opinions being expressed. They are reading what I have to say, so they gonna have something from it, hopefully.

I also have many other reasons for keeping posting.

Im really not sure what to think about this post? Are you a vegan by any chance?

That's nonsense. Ask any grazing animal. What people need is being able to separate nonsense from reality, even if there's a study into that nonsense.

Take your own advice about nonsense and reality.

Grazing animals are biologically adapted to grazing plants. Humans aren't.

You may as well declare that it's healthy for humans to jump off cliffs naked and stick their arms out because hey, just ask any bird adapted for soaring. Ever seen a bird wearing a parachute? You haven't, have you? Therefore humans can fly. It's nonsense to deny that, right? An animal specifically adapted for flying can fly, therefore humans can fly. Anyone who thinks otherwise needs to be able to seperate nonsense from reality. It's obvious that every animal is equally good at doing everything and that there is absolutely no specialisation of any kind.

Hey, why am I living in a house? I could go live in a lake. Fish do it, therefore humans can. Gills are just for fashion.

The king of sarcasm :p

There's a bit of a tale I want to share, for some people to think about.

Pigs, who are considered to be so dirty, and often seen living in mud and faeces on a farm. One of such pigs was getting rescued or helped by animal activists. She was a sick pig, suffering from abuse and didn't have feeling in her back legs or something. For starters she was given fresh hay. She spent a day taking that hay in her mouth and cleaning the den as high as she could reach.

Now go to a supermarket and buy that animal treat for your doggy. You love animal don't you, especially dogs. And your pet dog is like your family member. I loled hard.

Don't have a dog, ****ing love bacon though.

That makes you same as Hitler in my eyes. He never killed anyone too. It's all his lieutenants.

Sigh. Never actually met a veggie this way. Epic reference BTW.
