Trying to find out what size length gear shift rod I will need for the QS for the street triple 2013. On eBay, it's just the unit it self that are for sale, doesn't come with the rod.

On the instructions fitting guide, says 203.5mm but that looks like it includes the unit it self so confused.

@One, If your wrists were hurting that means your position was wrong, you've to be pretty fit to sit right on a supersport. On one of the events a guy was asking people to showing him how they would sit on a supersport, I got picked from the crowd amongst over. Your arms should be relaxed, the handlebars are only controls not a grip point to hold your leant over body.

P.s. He corrected like 8 out of 10 people... :p

The quick shifter comes as a gear rod and the ecu plug, what you do is take the 2 ball joints off the old gear rod, fit them onto the QS and plug it in underneath the petrol tank.

This is what the official triumph one looks like. :)

Do you? I thought I had to get the rod that comes with it? The original triumph one is ment to come rid the rod as well?

You saying I just need the unit, and connect it to the rod on the bike already?

Adding the unit would make the length of the rod longer won't it?

Edit: ones on eBay at the moment doesn't come with the rod. Looking for the dimensions of the rod to see if I can get one made.

All in the knees.

Back muscles too, you need to support your upper body without using your hands. That's why, its not that fun on a supersport and a lot of people who only just bought a supersport complain about their back and wrists. :p

Edit
After that event, I've been put off a supersport a bit. I'll try to find a video, they had a bike which put a bike into a stoppie position. With the correct position you were able to hold yourself without falling off whilst having your hands of the handlebars. It was quite funny, as he didn't tell you how to sit properly and when the bike was tilted he said now take your hands off the handlebars. haha :p

Also helps to be going fast so the bit of wind can keep your weight off your wrists.

Naked bikes all the way! :D None of these problems :p

Haha, it probably does. But fairings block most of the wind... :p

I want to try different type of bikes... apart from cruisers. I'll get one when I'm old and you'll probably hear me say "I'm too old for this...". :p

Edit
He has a nuda, he sold the Street lol. :p

Edit2
Found it!

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/222255275070

That's what I'm looking at.

I'm in no rush, would rather wait for one with the shift rod too to be sold as one.

Your current shift rod will fit that, take the 2 ball joints off your old gear rod, screw the gear rod into the shifter, and then fit both ball joints back onto the rod.

1 of the ball joints will have a groove in it indicating which side it goes onto, use the 2 nuts that you have on your gear rod.

£295 here delivered if you want to save all the hassle. :)

Hopped on the bike last night after work and headed off to get petrol, couple of miles down the road I was thinking "it's handling like ****".

Felt like my rear tyre had gone flat again losing stability in corners and roundabouts so I popped into the local tyre place after trying and failing to get the petrol station air line attached  and my pressures were bang on, bugger.

Anyway got home stuck the bike up on the Abba stand took one look at the tyre from the rear and thought WTF is going on there rather than it being lined up like | it looked very much like / something had totally knocked it out of line, checked my markers and sure enough the right side was a good couple of marks off my chain side. No idea what happened there!

Seemed to be although I always find the right hand side adjuster is a little loose when I line it up so normally I'll get it lined up tighten the axle then give the nut another little tweak to get it tight so it's possible my axle nut had slackened off a little which allowed it to move against the adjuster.

Either I have strange ergonomics but I find my R6 plenty comfortable and this was after everyone told me it was a torture rack.

Though I haven't done more than 4 hours in the seat so....
