Music randomly jumping volume!? :(

Hi guys,

wondering if anyone had any idea as to what's going on with my audio atm..

PC spec in my sig, speaks are logitech x540 5.1 speakers, recently I've noticed that my music will randomly change volume/cut up and down - it's very annoying and I can't work out why it's happening.

I use deezer normally, it does the same in chrome and edge - helpppp!

Only thing I can think of would be attenuation either on receiving or sending audio.

Not really sure what else would cause this.

I though perhaps interference on the cables but it doesn't seem to happen with youtube or films etc

What program does it happen with?

Have you tried playback in another?

Deezer in chrome/edge - doesn't happen with groove music offline I don't think!

Kinda sounding like an issue with the service rather than your PC. Seeing as it seems ok offline and with movies/YouTube.

Idk why it would be doing it though, it's so frustrating D: only started happening in last few days - doesn't happen on my laptop or phone with deezer.. D:

Mine did the same - its the remote control that did it. If you press the volume knob down it sometimes sorts it for a while.

I think you'll need to change the potentiometer in the remote control but I just gave them to a mate and bought myself a headset lol.

Wait you mean the speakers? I'm using the deezer app for windows now on my PC and it seems to be fine o.o

Mine used to jump in volume but it was that remote control and it did it sporadically at the start.

Sorry - remote control was the wrong term to use, it's the volume control knob on the long wire that was iffy for me.

Brain was a bit frazzled after getting pwnt on CS GO last night
