I see that Samsung have reintroduced the VR offer if you purchase a new S7 Edge.

Ultimate shield.. I've tried a few and the glass are terrible on the edge go for a film like suggested.Wife bought me the edge for my birthday lol. Enjoying the camera, it's a godsend compared to the N6.
Ordered vrs case of rainforest, is it worth getting a screen protector? Always had a tempered glass one for the N6.
Don't know what to get for this. I always scratch my phone so would prefer something opposed to nothing.

On my 2nd S7 (first one developed a camera fault). This one has been crashing the past few days. Infact I thought it was completley borked yesterday because I couldn't turn it back on and the screen went off.
Managed to charge it 6 hours and got it back up and running.
Other that than, great phone![]()
Thinking of changing to an S7 Edge. Big step for me as been an iPhone owner since 2010. Just not impressed by Apple's direction with the iPhone 7 though and can't help feeling they peaked a year or 2 back.
Is the transition from iPhone to Android a smooth one in terms of transferring pics, texts, contacts etc? Any possible gotchas I could encounter?
Also, I use my phone for podcasts a great deal. Is there a decent android podcast app that is comparable to the official Apple Podcasts app for iOS? I'm sure the answer must be yes! And is audio quality for listening to music as good/better than with an iPhone? Years ago I tried an android phone and was appalled by the sound quality coming out of my headphones. I'm sure this has changed massively now though and I can't compare a 4+ year old phone to the Edge.

good on ya for wanting to try Android
one thing to bare in mind though, how invested are you in the Apple Eco system? as in spent loads on apps etc?
i think the S7 Edge will be a breath of fresh air![]()
Not particularly invested tbh. Got an Apple TV I originally bought for AirPlay but over the years modern TVs are all DLNA etc now so AirPlay lost its edge a bit. I have bought a handful of apps on iOS but use mostly free ones. Nothing in way of iTunes video/music content. I do also have a Macbook Air but in all honesty am considering changing that too as I want something like a Surface Pro 4.
Biggest concern is text history (i just like having it), contacts, and pics/videos. From what I have read it sounds straight forward to transfer it all.
cool, i move from iphone to android often but my data has always been on android so the swaps are not that bad
if starting from scratch, try this: https://www.android.com/intl/en_uk/switch/ and http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/how-to-switch-from-iphone-to-android/
and im sure there are loads of guides out there to help you
Thanks will read those.
I currently have a sim only deal with EE for my iPhone 6 Plus. If I was to buy an unlocked S7 Edge outright I guess I'd have no issue just placing the sim card into it from the iPhone?
