*** The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Thread ***

After the initial call to Samsung requesting an exchange, how soon afterwards do you hear back? Rang on Thursday, not heard anything yet. Bought from ebay, but originally phone was from Samsung direct.

Any idea what Samsung might offer you? A credit note or cash refund? How would the latter work as you didn't buy from Samsung direct, do you have the original receipt?

what's to review? they already don't sell it, it's been off shelf for a month :p they are just going to keep it off the shelf... especially since the factory line has stopped, they aren't gonna pull one out of me lucky charms.

It's obviously for the people that already have the phone.

for the people that already have the phone, may I present to you your replacement note 7:

I still have my original note 7, locked to 80% charging, if it wasnt for that, Id be keeping it. Wondering if I should even bother going back into CPW now until this has all been sorted out as I dont really want to be stiffed returning it then them not sending out a replacement and having a galaxy flame or nokia POS for weeks on end.

Looks like my Note 3 will have to keep soldiering on, good thing a genuine battery was only £7 from a rainforest site so plenty of life left in it.

They've made the front page of the bbc website now

And headline story on BBC Breakfast this morning. They say you have to stop using them now. Film of the release of Note 7 demoing how it could be used under water - which may be the way to use it anyway :D

Very disappointing for anyone looking forward to getting one.

Hopefully they now direct all their efforts to getting the 4k vr beast note 8 out. I hope this isn't the end of stylus phones from Samsung...even if they rebrand the product line, don't let it be the end!

Looks like we'll be having a second replacement and I'll have two to return. May well consider a refund if that is the case. :(
