How do you know when your tyre needs replacing? I'm still using the same set that came with the bike. Have done about 2.5-3k miles but they don't look bald at all.

1mm depth on the tread across 3/4 of the tyre is the legal limit.

Theres little wear indicators in the grooves when theyre flush with the surfwnce its worn out.

Yeah, I'm miles away from that little notch I think. Will check when I go outside now. I believe I have Road Pilots 4.

Yeah, 2-3k is nothing for a sport touring tyre. :p I got 8k with mine, I did slides with rear brake and 2-3 lil burnouts.

Edit: Also look at the date, people say 5 years for a tyre. But I usually say 3 years tops before I change...

Have you been riding for 3 years?

Wow... we went from 35-40+ bikes down to like 8 bikes on weekly meets. Its not even that cold yet, still wearing my summer gloves. :p

It's the next video I'll make.

Cool

I did a little video at night, but its si blurry you can't really see what the LED is capable of... :(

Due to the wind, the cam chest mount was vibrating. I didn't do the straps tight enough, helmet curved mount coming soon. Hopefully that should fix it, doesn't help that the camera doesn't have stabilisation either...

Gonna have to put on my clear visor next week for commuting, winter is coming :(

Kevlar jeans were a little chilly the last 2 mornings aswell, and the thermal lining has gone back in my jacket, it's a bit tight though as I've put on a stone since spring (all muscle ;)).

I've started to wear my rain over-trousers with my jeans, it helps massivly as it cuts the wind out.

450 bikes at the Southampton meet last night. We even had a guy called James Hillier visit on a H2

I'm off to meet a stranger off the internet tonight to buy some forks for my Hornet :p

Ended up cancelling the Showa forks I ordered. Turns out you need different clamps, headlight, clocks and so on. Found a set of stock forks a few days later much cheaper :)
