Some people hammer a screwdriver in and remove it that way, normally when they seize, but it should work in your case as well. Messy, but should work without spending money.

I do this on my car as I find it makes less mess rather than more. Oil filter is at a 45 degree angle so I find it's difficult to undo with getting oil everywhere. Whereas as can hammer a hole into the bottom with a screwdriver, hammer a hole in the top for air so the oil can drain out nicely, then stick screwdriver back in the hole to unscrew the filter.

lol yup, same as on my Hornet. I just have to undo it with a normal spanner, let it leak all over the downpipes and clean up afterwards.

You don't have to let it go all over the downpipes. I've seen a video where someone uses a right angle piece of metal and rests it on the downpipes and uses it to funnel the oil towards them and into a bucket

When changing the oil just grab a cardboard box and bend it the same as that angled metal ;) It does the same thing but easier to bend and dispose of after...

I have a £50 Sportsbikeshop voucher and my current winter gloves have a lot of holes in them, so which do we think?

Weise - http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/69519
RST - http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/222433
Oxford - http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/230191
Furygan - http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/222732

I have some £25 Weise ones but they sort of broke down over 6 months and no longer kept my hands warm or dry. I have some Oxford summer gloves and they have held up well, but I like the look of the Furygan ones more. Everyone seems to have RST stuff so I've included some of those too.

My last furygan gloves had the inner stitching fail in a matter of weeks which is a shame as the jacket I've got from them is great quality.

I was stuck behind a police car for my entire commute this morning. All lights would change to green on approach, so no chance to filter past. That was the definition of frustration...
