Your Gaming TV!

I don't go off reviews alone, can be biased even avforums. LG will always be a budget brand. You get what you pay for basically. I did love my last LG with passive 3D glasses though, but Sony are in a different league.

Look at the features I've listed on my TV, top end 3D(which I like for gaming, play split screen with 2 players wearing glasses and both get full screen picture of their split screen in 1080p/4k), playstation now is great for families with kids who don't want to buy a console but still have a library of 300+ and growing games for like a tenner a month.

you don't know what you are talking about. LG OLED's are one of the most expensive sets if not the most expensive sets you can buy. as for the reviews well their readings cannot be biased unless your saying they are manipulating or manufacturing the numbers which is a bold claim, any proof to back this up? they have colour charts as well as pre and post calibration figures and delta errors, etc. the numbers don't lie.

budget brand LMAO £6K for their top end OLED

they are not a budget brand. their panels are used in most premium monitors and tv's.

you do know sony don't even make their own panels right? they buy them from samsung and LG, etc.

sony will soon pull out of the tv market or be bought over by samsung, panasonic or LG, it's only a matter of time since they stopped making their own panels, they cannot compete with the big boys anymore.

Yeah. The LG OLED panels are stunning. A no brainer for most content and still good for gaming. If they make a panel with 20 or less input lag i'll be all over one. Until then the current Samsung LCDs are top of the list.

The KS7000 is meat to be 22MS in game mode and 21MS in Game mode with HDR enabled. I certainly have not noticed any lag.

Personally I'm not a big fan of OLED screens but that's just me.

I believe this is he one Linus reviewed, looks insane! When this sort of screen is more mainstream (minus the HK speakers) that will be awesome.

LG LED aren't so hot, so if you are comparing against Samsung or panasonic LED they could be considered more of a budget brand.

But the OLEDs are obviously cutting edge premium tech.

I stand corrected. I do however find it laughable the suggestion that Sony will stop making TVs.

or Sony, who produce mass affordable TVs now. LG seem to be the new expensive king... could blow up in their face.

EDIT: Also LG have either Smart or webOS, not android like Sony, which I love.

It's been a rumour for a while that Sony will pull out of the TV business. They have slowed production and have less models out now. They also now outsource a lot of the manufacturing. Their sales have been very low so it could happen..... ?

Enabled game mode? Turned off intelligent frame creation?

Input lag on the 902b should be 38ms or thereabouts so not too bad.

Yep when my Tv was calibrated he checked this and it was around the 34ms mark. So for console gaming not too bac at all.

Panasonic GT60 50"

As tempted as I am by 4k HDR I haven't seen anything that moves a picture and looks as natural as a Plasma - OLED is getting there so there is hope - I fear my telly going wrong at the moment!

I'm interested in this thread, have a 49" UHD already but not getting HDR

So I plan to drop around £1k on Black Friday... hopefully some nice deals about...

I want between 49" and 55"... anything I should keep an eye out for?

ShimmyHill, go and see a DX902 with proper source being pushed through it. You'll see that this is the best Panasonic has done on an LED the blacks are pretty much the same as plasma with far more accurate colours and now at the price of £2800 it's the best bang for buck by far.

For that size and budget it's a no brainer :)

Samsung UE49KS7000

Save up and go bigger if you can!

I've been on the verge of ordering the 65" all week.

I'd still argue the KS8000 is the better buy at £800 less (and more)

It may be edge lit rather than FALD but there's not much in it. The panasonic screen is like a bloody mirror as well. Too reflective.
