Where are people sourcing their tyres from these days in the horribly expensive post-Brexit atmosphere? I'm looking at Metzeler RoadTec 01s - Black Circles is quoting around £255 for the set (HVM).

Hmm, damn... insurance seems to have gone down a lot for me recently...

Ducati 848 EVO Corse SE, 10k a year commuting, garaged, 2 years NCD, fully comp...

£572  £420 with 5k a year miles.

That would have been a grand last year.

That's old age for you ;) :p

Oponeo - the prices do tend to go up and down a little every week/few days.

Currently for a 190/55 and 120/70 Roadtec 01 they're £229 for the pair (£130 and £99).

That's old age for you ;) :p

Woohoo! :D

Oh, wait... :(

You won't be commuting long on one of those :p

Yeah I couldn't be bothered to change the details, I'd still include commuting on a bike like that though, for the odd summer commute (like I do on the Tuono) and if my other bike was broken down/off the road.

I honestly didn't think sportsbikes would be reasonable for insurance for another year or 2.

Edit: £680 fully comp for £10k's worth of Tuono V4 1100 Factory... 5k miles a year inc. commuting  a earlier 1000 v4 was £1200 fully comp a few months back!!

Crossan Motorcycles, used these guys for the past 5 years. Not the cheapest, but they've always managed to get them to me the next day.

£237-245 delivered - depending on rear tyre size.

I NEED this in my life

I'll never forget the time I had on a Panigale R track bike in Slovakia :D

And I seriously would still like the 1299 Panigale S Anniversario!

I'm going to take a look at the alpinestar textile jacket, my leather one is no good for cold weather and my rst tractech evo is a bit tight now I've had it 2 years..

Thing with the Superleggera is I'd be far too worried about riding a ~70k bike, I think with the Anniversario I could just about get my head round ~25k.

I still wouldn't want to leave it parked up anywhere! I only just manage to lock at leave my 899 in a secure car park when I go into the city :p

If security and thievery wasn't an issue then may be :p :D

Clovis, the A* Andes Drystar I have is pretty good for cold weather, not sure about full on winter though without plenty of base layers.

Thinking about getting a leather jacket for my birthday. It's between Furygan and Dainese. Anyone have experience with either brand? There's only £50 between them but not sure who makes what better.

Tried them both on? Both good brands so it's going to be down to fit or if one has more features that interest you for example I know some (possibly all) Furygan jackets are designed to be waterproof whereas most leathers aren't.
Furygan also use D30 armour as standard which I'm a big fan of.

I've got Furygan stuff, the Brutale EVO 2 leather jacket. Have you tred them both on? As the fit (if I recall correctly) is quite different, Dainese are made for short skinny italians! :D

What model Furygan jacket are you looking at? Furygan leather has a water repellent coating if that helps, normally keeps my dry through light rain for 30-40 minutes, and dries almost instantly.

Ah yes forgot about the D30 armor, it's awesome stuff, wouldn't use normal armor now.
