Hi all
Just a bit of background, last week I decided to upgrade to a 1070. Long story short existing case was to small so I got a new one. Unfortunately, in the process of reseating everything, I slipped and bent some of the pins on my CPU socket. Never had that happen before in 10+ years of building my own PCs...
Anyhow after hours of trying to readjust the pins I am still having trouble, so have decided to give up on my msi z97 gaming m board. And get a replacement.
Now I've noticed that there isn't many z97 boards out there any more but still some decent ones around 120-160quid.
Would you stick with 1150 socket or try and resell my 4690k and 32gb of DDR3RAM for something newer?
If so, would you go Z170/1151?
Thanks
