What film did you watch last night?

The Guard. 9/10 Brendon Gleeson plays an Irish Police officer in this nifty little film. Don Cheedle adds weight to a brilliant cast, includes Mark Strong and Liam Cunningham. Very funny in parts, good old flick worthy of your time.

Ouija: Origin of Evil - 4/10

Thought it took far too long to get going and even then it was way too predictable. My wife really enjoyed it though so I guess it will depend on how many horror films you have seen previously. If you have watched a lot then there's nothing new here.

Wild Bill

Broken Britain film, written and directed by Dexter Fletcher. Not watched much of this sort of thing before, Harry Brown aside. Was pretty decent.

6/10

Chappie - 6/10

Absolutely loved Chappie's accent and the character. Some interesting points in a slightly convoluted plot.

I remember really enjoying this. One of my favourite directors and a great concept as well. The character of Chappie was awesome.

Into The Inferno

A Netflix original documentary. Really interesting and well made. It did stray all over the place, away from volcanoes, onto the origins of man and into politics, but I think that made it what it is.

7/10

Equilibrium, with Christian Bale and Emily Watson. Movie about a future where emotions are banned. Got a good rating on IMDB but I thought it was boring and didn't give a damn about any of the characters. 3/10, yes, it's that bad.

Freedom Writers, with Hilary swank. Based on the True story of Erin Gruwell about a young idealistic teacher and her disadvantaged students who become the inspiration for the Freedom Writers Foundation. Have seen this a few times now and it moves me every time. 8.5/10.

That film is terrible. The only good big is the final fight with father.

To tell you the truth I wasn't paying much attention at that stage. And 5/10 is really too much. Going to change it to 3/10 and it's only getting that 3 because it was an interesting idea for a movie.

Jason Bourne

If you're a fan of this franchise then you won't be disappointed. It's basically like all the others except with some different faces in different places.

Mr. Church

Mr. Church tells the story of a unique friendship that develops when a little girl and her dying mother retain the services of a talented cook - Henry Joseph Church. What begins as a six month arrangement instead spans into fifteen years and creates a family bond that lasts forever.

Eddie Murphy is surprisingly brilliant, possibly his best performance.

Black Mass. As gangster films go, this wasn't very good. Lacking in substance and seemed to move too quick. Director didn't pace it right. People praised Depp's performance but I dont think he was the right actor for the part of Bulger. 6/10.
