yep no fees or commission on unlimited purchases and £500 or equivalent on cash withdrawal per month. it really is a fantastic travel card.
2% if you go over 500. but as long as you visiting major cities then everyone takes card.
no charge in sterling, ssame applies, unlimited purchases, less than £500 cash withdrawl per month.
they did recently impose a top figure as well, I cant remember what it's but it was like 3k per month.
depends, card is instant, bank transfer is 1-5 days
just be aware that the app and card are geo locked together. so If you leave your phone at home and go traveling to say Spain it wont allow you to use it.
when you land find some free wifi like at airport and sign into app and you should be fine.
I don't know how it exactly works but I had the issue first time I used it abroad. Since then its been fine.
its probably in the faq somewhere.
Are you sure about this? amount of people losing their phone or dropping it the sea must be unreal on holiday
Cant see it direct on FAQ but it does say this:
What if I lose my phone?
Your Revolut card will still function the same without your smartphone. You can make ATM withdrawals and card payments, but you will not be able to check your balance or receive notifications on the go. You can top up your Revolut card via transfer - just make sure you know your reference number. Alternatively, contact the in-app support so we can change the mobile number on the account for you. Download the app on a new device, attempt to log in with your mobile number and then choose the option 'I haven't received a code' to chat to support.
Does the advice change or are there any gotcha's to consider if travelling to the US as opposed to Europe ? Looking at getting the Halifax clarity card for a trip next year.

Cheers gents. Will be New York and I'll have some old school folding currency as well anyway.
As probably mentioned already, make sure withdraw in £ (i.e. MasterCard will do the currency exchange for you, so you'll get a near on perfect rate), don't let the machine calculate the exchange value.
With a Clarity card why are some people saying pay it back on same day to avoid interest charges on page 2?
And others are saying they enjoy there holiday and once back home they pay off the credit or bill before any charges.
Confusing but then I never owned a cc !
I'm not 100%, but one got declined and as far as I can tell within the app, it was a miss match of location.
losing it wouldn't be an issue as it would still show you in the area.
suppose the only way to find out for sure is to ask them.
I used the Revolut card in the summer in Spain, France and Andorra and it worked without a hitch.
I wouldn't recommend the TravelEx Supercard. I had so many declines during my trip, that I stopped using it.
£1200 euros between two for 11 days in an all inclusive resort what on earth are you planning to spend it on?
If you withdraw from an ATM, you're charged interest from day 1, so it's cheaper to pay it off regularly if you're spending large amounts of cash.
If it's a small amount of cash, mostly machine transactions & a couple of week holiday, don't worry about paying it off until you get home.
If you go to the card section of the app then security, you can turn the geofencing on or off, there are some other useful settings there as well
