Alvarez is clearly nervous, Conor is going to pick him apart. Alvarez best chance will be to try and dry hump him for 5 rounds. He swings far too wildly, if he plays that game he's getting lit up.

Joanna is nuts

Easily the best stand up in women's MMA imho, including Holm. She would outstrike some of the blokes from a technical perspective.

Well not long now, what a crazy press conference. And as Brendan Schaub likes to say

"I'm the biggest Conor Mcgregor nut rider"

So my card picks are

Tate
Gastelum
Weidman
jdzrjeckzkdjckzski
Thompson
Megregor

So "suck them big Irish balls"

That's it ever seen Alverez "act up" in a press conference? He is clearly try to out game Conor but he's to quick witted and slick with media for that, if he swings like mad at Conor like he does at times, surely Conor's precision wins!

Lets see is Conor can stay in there if needed after 2nd round.

Can't say I disagree with much of this article - McGregor is becoming a pain in the backside with his stupid antics, silly clothes, everything running on "his time" etc. (the fact the mink coat had the ticket and price tag still on it shows that he's using his "celebrity status" to borrow clothes/ fashion horse etc)

I'm a huge mcgregor fan but with every fight, every interview he's coming across as more and more up himself. Yeah, it's promoting a fight, selling tickets, bumping youtube video numbers etc, but it's just gone beyond that now into borderline lunacy.....and his utterly disrepecful attitude towards fighters, UFC, time management etc etc.

I mean the chair incident last night made the whole thing look like a cheap version of WWE........all he's interested in is "more commas are tacked upon his payouts"

Pretty poor show, and all round his stock is dropping by the day for me personally.

Couldn't be more wrong really, if anything it just makes him more popular, you can't use rationality in the fight game, and it says it all when Eddie who's American is getting booed by his own crowd to an Irishman.

I'm with you on this booyaka, Conor has become too big for his own good. He's not been the cheeky, quirky king of the put downs that he once was. There's been nothing memorable about this build up to the Alvarez fight which Conor brought to all of his other big fights.

Diaz "He makes gang signs with his right hand and animal balloons with his left."

Poirier "He's a quiet, little hillbilly from the back arse of nowhere. His cousin is probably named Cletus"

Aldo "If it was a different time, I would invade his favela on horseback and kill anyone that was not fit to work."

Alvarez "I'm going to cave your face in" :(

Edit: Maybe it's because Conor realises that this is a fight he's very unlikely to win ;) He's the one who's shook and off his game - Alvarez is a completely different animal to anyone Conor has fought and will finish him.

i get that- I understand it sells fights etc - but the whole "funny amusing" conor has gone - it's now every second word is "****", "money", etc.

The total disrespect of turning up late ALL the time now is ridiculous - it's so unprofessional. If the shoe was on the other foot, McGregor would be whining and moaning no stop about it.

Conor has a massive support that travel everywhere so they will always have the majority at weigh ins/press conferences etc so any opponent will always get booed.

I still think conor wins - BUT at some point the cashcow that is McGregor will come unstuck and who/what happens then......there is no other "stars" in the UFC at the moment really. Heavyweight division is awful.

McGregor has had the rule of who/when he fights but if he loses to Eddie - where does he go?? NO way he's back to 145lb - I think that weight has gone unless he utterly drains himself. 170lb is to much for him terms of heavy hitters etc.

Definitely a different animal - From those i've spoken to the general consensus is that Conor will finish Alvarez or Alvarez grinds him over 5 rounds, I think its entirely possible Alvarez can finish this fight.

I've got Conor this time around though :)

The problem with the HW's is that the true star of the division (Cain) can't stay healthy long enough to fight more than once, twice at best in a year.

He's going to demolish Werdum in a big way when/if they fight again (Yes I know it's targeted for 207, but as above, very good chance Cain doesn't make the fight).

I'm really starting to go off Connor, he has turned into, and please don't take this as a racist comment, the white Floyd Mayweather. He is all about showing off his wealth, he has little respect for the people that made him, it has all completely gone to his head.

I dont see acting to bad or differently when not at a press conference. He's just hyping it up.. All be it a little over the top

Sure Dana will love that, he forced him to go to 185 due to his weight problems, yet when he moves back down he can't make 170. Just stay at 185 ffs.

Gastelum did not make an attempt to formally weigh in as he was well over the 171 lbs limit for the fight and the bout was scrapped

He must've been miles over, bet it was 10 pounds like the last time. Pretty ridiculous really.

Much like the Evans and Kennedy bout being scrapped, i'm just happy it wasn't one of the main card fighters. I was looking forward to seeing both fights mind.
