**** The Official Chinese Phones Thread ****

Finally took the plunge and bought a 5S 64GB at Geekbuying for £236. Just as I clicked Pay on Paypal I noticed there was an option to add insurance for £1.30 :(

Oh well, don't want to faff around with customer support trying to pay £1.30 to add it, so will have to keep all my bits crossed it arrives OK.

Email them and say you forgot to ensure it so should you cancel. They will probably tell you to pay the difference. Should anything go wrong they can say you didn't ensure it.

I think I'll trust in the mobile phone gods and not confuse them with cancelling it or trying to amend it.That will teach me for rushing through the payment page on a Chinese website :p

inb4 "My 5s arrived smashed to bits wot do?"

Hmmm what postage did you pay for?

I paid for mine on 3rd Nov too and got an email on 7th saying it had been shipped along with a tracking number.

At last DHL tracking info, but its not gone far:rolleyes:

Looking for a 5" screen phone with a MicroSD slot for less than £150 to replace the wife's Vodafone Smart Ultra, any recommendations please?

I've been eyeing up the Xiaomi Redmi 3 and Redmi 4 Pro (Prime?) which look decent, any other recommendations please, and anywhere better to buy from than Aliexpress? The 3 is around £110 and the 4 around £130 from a quick look. Cheers.

My mi max prime has an issue where fingerprint scanner is not working, errors when I try to add a fingerprint..

Comments on the net about it, thought I might try an upgrade as there appears to be a global rom for 8.0.3.

Anyone tried this at all?

Painful waiting for standard mail to arrive from the far East haha!

My current phone is literally on its last legs, screen cracked, bits of the glass fallen out. Got to hand it to Motorola, the original Moto G is a bit of a hard *******!
