Love my 55 inch 1080p lg oled, would never go back to lcd. I'll get a 65 inch 4k one in a few years time when they are cheaper

I buy physical media because steaming doesn't come close to the sound or picture quality.... yet.

I "legally" download blueray copys etc etc and watch thru plex.

Only the same when you are downloading a straight 40-50GB bluray rip, few people have the storage space or bandwidth to download this volume of data in a reasonable time.
There is still no legal way to download a straight bluray rip (I would pay for this) and 4k bluray encryption hasn't been broken yet either.

You can't download 4k with hdr yet, the 1080p ones won't have quite the same bitrate as normal blurays.

I think it was mainly introduced to allow you to stream/download to portable devices, it's compressed and has DRM so you can't share the same file between devices.

Could do with one of these. I remember years back the spyder (?) doing the rounds. Paying it forward each time. Now I have several screens and change now and again it would be handy
