What film did you watch last night?

Yeah well, Noel always was a self centred, arrogant little twonk.

The culture around music has just changed. He's just ****ed because bands don't have to rise through the ranks anymore to get an audience like they did, they just have to be good.

I think Noel has a point though. It may be easy to become popular nowadays but the longevity isn't there. Where are the true superbands like those that rose to global fame in the 70's, 80's and 90's?

Dead, because we're no longer subjected to the abject misery of listening to the same 12 songs on music channels or radios anymore. That sort of fame was so much more artificial then we imagined it to be because you couldn't escape bands like Oasis. They where just always there beating you over the head with there latest releases. Not denying that they wrote some cool tunes (despite the fact there sound never evolved), more that people are less likely to conform to certain music trends these days which is a really great thing.

The way we listen to music is just so much more expansive and all inclusive now.

Hacksaw Ridge 9.5/10

If you have any interest in WW2 or History or even an amazing story of a very brave and courageous guy, go see this.

This is what real heroes are not some guy that spends a tour on an airbase in a warehouse for 12 months.

Exactly what Noel was saying, you can't capture the public's imagination in one shot anymore because everything is so splintered. You are trying to disagree with him by agreeing with him lol. My feeling is you just don't like Noel which is fair enough. He actually calls himself a C word in the film and seems well aware of his behaviour.

I guess to a certain extent I am, yes xD I'm arguing more the positives of that point however, rather then the negatives.

Oh god no! He's fantastic value and I love him too bits. He's obviously a bit of an ass with a massive ego but he's a great songwriter and ridiculously funny in interviews.

Good music will always spread by word of mouth and it's easier to hear the music at your leisure now before you buy. The only downside is the ease of piracy now but I guess that's why I see some acts playing arenas that I didn't think had the following from album sales.

Frankensteins Army 6/10

Story is on existent, monsters are barmy as hell through and look awesome.

Some really squeamish bits at the end as well.

A few lately:

Arrival - 6/10. Didn't get the big deal with this one. Dragged a fair bit and I honestly didn't really think the story was all that groundbreaking or as amazing as a lot of people are making out.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - 7/10 not a Harry Potter fan but I really liked this one, really enjoyable and pretty funny too.

The Accountant - 6/10 nothing special action flick, oh and the antihero has autism.

The Best Years of Our Lives - Incredibly moving portrayal of three servicemen returning to normal life after WWII. Pretty amazing that it was made in 1946 so it must have been so fresh but for a film that is now 70 and three hours long it entertained and moved me, crickey one of the main stars has no hands for crying out loud! Superb 5/5

Allied 8/10 really enjoyed this, tense throughout and kept you guessing. Good storyline and what I really liked was the inclusion of a selection of small scenes that didnt really move the story but helped keep up the tension throughout, they were really nicely played. Engaged theoughout. Probably wont go see it again for a while as its one of those where once you know the outcome it probably wont feel he same next time round.

Personally I would give it a 7. But yeah I thought it tried to be too clever for it's own good.
