The 6 Series fills this point in the market - it's priced like a 7 after all. It is significantly more expensive than the 5 Series.
They should make a 7 series 4 wheel drive version...

I will take some photos tomorrow.

I went to tesco which is only a few miles away, did not put my foot down but there was quite a bit of traffic, got 10 mpg!!!!

Hmmm, maybe my comment of it being the perfect car for crossing multiple countries in one day is a tad optimistic.

I thought these engines were supposed to be much more economic compared to the last generation V10's?

I found you seem to get the same mpg as you did with an old engine of the same CC but the new engine has more power output...

For example

An old 15year 1ltr engine does 45mpg and has 85bhp
where a new 1ltr engine does 45mpg but has 125bhp

Like you may find this is the case with the OP M6
Older M6 does 10mpg and has 500bhp
Newer M6 does 10mpg and has 560bhp

It was only a couple of miles so I don't think its representative, I think I will get around 18mpg in town.

I love the HUD such a shame they don't do it in the 911.

Lol. It's a i8. Packing a 1.5l engine and 100k price tag before discount. It's not mine yet but I have put in a bid for a white one so maybe soon. I considered one a year ago but was not too impressed. However there is 23k discount to be had on a new one now and it's really a impressive machine as long as you don't try and go over 70mph
