Former Cuba leader Fidel Castro dead aged 90

You meah Che?

I agree. A sad day.

The why some asked is simple. Today died the only one who stick the finger(s) to the US, not wanting his country to be a colony of the corporations and rich elite mafia, like the rest of our countries have become.

Oh, so to kill, oppress and force your citizens in to poverty is ok then. As long as you stick your finger up to America.

Also...rich elite mafia? Wtf do you think his family is?

Pretty much this really. Apparently he was livid when a deal was struck between the US and Russia not to go to war.

RIP.

A controversial figure. But then someone who faced more assassination attempts than any other 10 leaders combined. He holds a special place in his nation and to his people.

Stood up to US aggression repeatedly. I have to say a beautiful place it is too. Like going back in time.

There are 4x more US citizens in poverty than the population of Cuba. Its all relative but you just wont have it.

The US opinion here is of little consequence, they continually enforced his rule for him in an attempt to "democratise" states that didnt want it or couldnt function with it.

Ever since the 1940s and the first Syrian Coup D'etat, the US has probably failed every attempt to force a democracy on people... So they have no high-horse to speak from here.

No doubt the CIA is secretly opening some champagne bottles for the occasion, regardless of their 60 years of utter failure.

So if only to spite the US, he was a hero. But in reality forced to be an evil man because the era required it, also simply that generally coup's never seem to end well.

Good point. Now lets discuss British involvement in Africa and the Middle East... shall we?

The truth of the matter is that most Americans are a bit concerned. Some are more pleased than others though. I had to hold my nose and vote for Trump... cause there was no way in **** I was going to vote Hillary.

The Democrats have totally abandoned their base, specifically the unions. Then they made the biggest mistake they possibly could... and that was nominating Hillary. Hillary is widely despised by a large segment of the US... not all on the right either.

This SNL video sums up some of the mistakes the left made.
