I recently came across the term 'spooning'. I was at first baffled and then an American friend informed me that 'spooning' means cuddling where the girl is in front of you with her back to you. I must be getting old as the cool kids have an alien vernacular now!

A very commonly used term in my generation, though I'm not sure how I feel about it, like a lot of new words.
