US: **The Walking Dead Season 7 - Contains Spoilers - No future content to be discussed **

I find the whole thing so unlikely heh - quite likely to find reloads, etc. when scavenging in that kind of world and not really likely to pay much attention to the spent shell case let alone notice details on a pistol sized calibre from any distance.

As said, it's not surprising that he'd check, given that as far as he is concerned he has totally disarmed them, not to mention got them so scared that no one would dare try anything anyway. Of course he'd be curious.

But yes, it is for the purposes of the plot, and we are now deviating away from the comics which make more sense in this front.

I don't buy it - he'd just assume they found the gun somewhere out when scavenging or someone was holding out - might pay attention to the gun itself but like no one gives the spent casing a second thought when shot at.

They better get organized quick, it'll take them about 10 minutes to notice Daryl has escaped, especially since he smashed the fat dudes head in and left him there. There's only 2 places he'd run back to, hilltop or Alexandria. I doubt Negan would believe any "uhhh no we haven't seen him".

Unless I've missed something Negan isn't aware of the connection between Hilltop & Ricks group, which is why Maggie is being sheltered there. So I guess he has no reason to believe Daryl knows of it's existence. Which would make you think Negan would go straight to Alexandria to teach them another "lesson". But as you say it's going to kick off pretty rapidly once they find Fat Brian or whatever his name was.

Again, why?

People react in different ways you know... Negan has a taste for the theatrics and after Lucille taking the bullet, once again, it just reinforces even more need for him to pay particular attention to the bullet/casing, in "real life", some soldiers keep the bullets that have come close to killing them i.e. bullets getting lodge in their helmets or bullet proof vests etc. This is no different, if it weren't for Lucille, he would have been dead.

And as said, it has obviously been done to set up another side story line.

It is just pointless nit picking for the sake of it.

But if you are going to go to the trouble of making a bullet why would you limit it to just one? You'd at least make a couple to test you got it right wouldn't you?

IIRC, they only had 1 case shell lying around.

Of course, in that world, I'm sure that they could have found more than a few bullet casings lying around but I'm not going to lose sleep over it :p

The bullet yes - but even then it incredibly unlikely you'd pickup on it being a reload after an impact like that. Literally no one pays attention to an ejected shell casing ever unless it happens to hit them.

Its not really about nit picking - I've done and been around a fair bit of firearms related stuff and just don't find it credible versus my experience so find it a bit contrived.

Oh... so was your "experience" the exact same as Negan's then? i.e. having someone try to shoot you in the head from a few feet away thinking that you were perfectly safe since you had disarmed everyone in the area? Do you have a personality like Negan as well by any chance?

I doubt at any moment Negan considered himself perfectly safe because he'd disarmed everyone - as mentioned further up he is more intelligent than that - he wouldn't have lasted half as long if his bravado was largely complacency.

Ok, maybe not perfectly safe... but again, from your experience with firearms, where you in a similar situation to his?

Reused shell casing would have been reasonable common anyway.

I'm pretty sure lots of Americans would have there own reloading machine as it's cheaper, shells can be reused multiple times, though fresh ones are better for your weapon.

My dad had one when it was legal to own a hand gun, though it was rare here, only around 50,000 handgun licences were active when they got banned. I'm sure that would be much more common in the USA. So a group as big as the Saviors would surely have got this already. :)

Then you just have to make gun power and primers, plenty of books and gun mad Americans I can't see this being that hard.

I be willing to say even more than that, possibly all the way up to the finale :D

Comic spoiler hint saying how long Negan stays around for.... Well, I don't specifically say how long he stays around for so it isn't a spoiler at all...

Negan sticks around for a LONG time in the comics
Can't wait, lots of character development to look forward to

They've never really strung out bad guys or groups that long in the TV series though.
