Feeling so happy .... and nervous.

Just checked my emails to see I have been invited for an interview at St. Barts in London to study medicine!
 
Day 2 of projectile liquids from every orifice.

Also more grief from family about not inviting certain people to the wedding.

If they keep it up I'll be exchanging their places for friends!
 
I hate the family pressure that comes with weddings. My sister got married on a cruise and one side was not happy at all, didn't even come even though they were well enough and had the money. It's your wedding at the end of the day so screw them.

Well I've got about 6 or 7 "places" at the wedding to fill. The current plan is my Dad, his fiancé, her 2 kids, sister, her boyfriend and then my best friend from school, that's it.

Not inviting Mum. Haven't spoken to her for years. She's still bitter about the divorce with my Dad, plus she only has to have a packet of wine gums and she's wasted.

So am I the only one who can foresee there being potential dramas with her in the middle of nowhere (at a winery) with her ex-husband and his fiancé in a foreign country where she is severely limited to who she can talk to due to language barriers? :D

Can't see any potential embarrassment there...nope. So I'm not having it. I've been getting "You only get one mum" and all this today. I'm standing my ground on this one.
 
Ah that old chestnut. Also why are you inviting your dads fiance's boyfriend? Isn't that going to be awkward?

Haha, bad wording! (I'm watching anime as well so distracted) It's my sister and her boyfriend. Not how it's written above :p :D

Honestly if they keep kicking off about it I'll be cancelling their invitations and inviting some close friends who would love to be there :)

The more I keep mentioning that, the more tempting it becomes :)
 
We've had to cancel our work Christmas party today - I've come down with Noro virus. They're still out in town but have cancelled our dinner reservations despite me telling them to still go.

So annoying - the last time I was sick in this fashion was a decade ago, and this was meant to be our big day out following a tough but successful year :(

Do it. You can choose your friends. You're stuck with your family.
 
Lol Clov, I've done similar many a time. It's normally putting the yogurt pot in the sink and my spoon in the bin or rubbish in my bag and my wallet in the bin.

*sigh*
