It's not law. It's a bunch of people choosing to settle their disputes according to some arbitrary rules.

It's no more law than the rules of a D&D game are law.

Important distinction.

'choosing' isn't always the case given the community/family pressure some are under to conform

comparing it to rules in a D&D game is both naive and silly, these are real arbitration services with a real impact on people's lives

No their is not... we are in England we following the law of the land

Hmm, I'm a fence sitter but boy are you wrong.
My work colleague recently had a Sharia wedding that is recognised by the Muslim community but not UK. My Manager had both a Sharia and a UK wedding.
My work colleagues brother was caught having sex in the local mosque and he had to attend a Sharia court where he was ordered to do 100 hours community service. Her husband had to attend because of fighting and drinking alcohol.

Does not matter how many videos your post, they have no legal standing over the U.K law.....

Doesn't matter how much you deny it. To Muslims they obviously mean something otherwise they wouldn't go to them would they?

Durrrrrr.

How?

The guy ran over 12 people and injured dozens more, doesnt look innocent to me.

No it doesn't and if you really believe that you need to have a word with yourself. Proof is formed from evidence and, to my point, sometimes the evidence doesn't need to wait for a court of the good unless you're PC. A load of jet liners crash into tall buildings, let's not conclude the likely as a court hasn't ruled. That is really your justification in such incidents? I am all for not jumping to conclusions, but not when to most rationale minds it's blindingly obvious once you get a broader perspective from those on the scene.

What I mean by what I said was that we cannot jump to the to the conclusion that this was a Islamist terrorist attack without the evidence.

It could have been tragic traffic accident when it was first reported but every news station was already saying it was a terrorist attack and even the BBC were goading one eye witness to confirm it was a terrorist attack.

Heck, it could have been another terrorist group with different motivations but nope, must be dem Muslims again.

I'm not sure that destabalising the region is their goal so much as it is a product of some of their actions

What are you referring to re: the East?

Maybe not, but they're managing to get some very cheap oil from there right now.

And by the East I mean mostly Russia.

ah you missed the sarcasm :(

Decisions in the Sharia Courts, if the 2 parties involved signed a contract afterwards agreeing to the outcome of the court and as long as the outcome did not violate any UK laws or Human rights etc Would that not make it a legal document?

That video shows a women who had a civil divorce but the Sharia Court ignored that and spent ten years trying to get her back together with her "husband".

So what we have is some Muslims in this country ignoring the law.

watch the video....

The husband treats her like rubbish

Does nothing in the house and sleeps all day.

She has to ask the beardy guy for a sharia divorce because she married under a sharia ceremony and not an English civil ceremony.

He has refused to grant it for over a year and keeps saying one more month one more month....

so she is trapped cant get a divorce no matter what her husband does.

And people like you spout the same rubbish about there being no sharia law in the uk LOL

No, this forums anti muslim obsession is boring.

There is no Sharia law in the United Kingdom.

It is a council that allows people of religions to settle their disputes, or 'problems' with consultation with religious leaders. I am sure you will find that there are many other religious people that will go to their religious leaders for council, advice on how to deal with their problems.

These religious councils exist in every religion, but because these ones are muslim there is obviously a problem, ergo, trying to impose 'Sharia' 'law' on to the United Kingdom.

But that's like any religious wedding. You have the religious ceremony which is recognised from religion perspective and the legal marriage registery.

Eh? She is not legally married to him unless the coupled carried out an English civil marriage.

Tough. The laws of the land will protect them if they feel they are being mistreated, they know this, they have the option.

As we're so proud of saying, it's a free country. You can't protect people from their own stupidity.

The issue with political correctness, is those inflicted with it feel a need to rush to the defence of any group or individual who they feel isn't getting a fair hearing or is at the end of ill feeling. That's all well and good, but frankly too often it means blinkered arguments that seek to rationalise and justify things to the detriment of the blindingly obvious and seek to redirect irrational behaviour on the basis of a 'yea but' argument. It is a cancer on modern society and because of it we now have a black and white nation who can only argue based on diametrically opposed views. Rational argument and the blindingly obvious become abhorrent to the PC and bigot and it simply makes these debates a them and us argument that removes the point at hand and makes it a 'i'm going to learn you good' debate that ends up miles away at the aforementioned blindingly obvious.

Every single thread on terrorism demonstrates that, be it here or anywhere and we always get the same "let's not jump to conclusions when it usually ends up being the blindingly obvious" because that is the PC way and we may upset a *********.

Feels before the reals.

Lets just ignore the facts because, mah feelinz.
