Haha same here, was off sick yesterday feeling like death, but don't feel rubbish enough to be off work today. Still feel like cack though.

I was going to be in tomorrow but it's been so quiet that there wouldn't have been much point in the end. Good thing working with the military is they all go on leave for 3 weeks

Transformer on the industrial estate blew up, running on diesel generator.
Everyone was running around panicking about the DR process etc, and I just said "Why don't we just get some more diesel and keep the genny running until the power comes back?" ... good idea, they said...
Then people tried contacting the generator company and were panicking when they couldn't get through, and I said "Why don't we just BUY SOME DIESEL?" ... oh, they said...
Then someone started fretting about the fact that it uses red diesel which is a different kind of diesel... "Red diesel is just normal diesel with dye in it, just put normal diesel in..." ... oh, they said.
I sometimes wonder if the people I work with know anything outside of IT...
Nobody has gone to get diesel yet... People are logging cases and updating them, and taking pictures of the fuel level, and panicking and chatting...
Help.

Tbh I am not angry because I more than half expected this to happen. My family is a mess in a lot of ways so I wasn't surprised this is what it boiled down to. Because I was expecting it to happen, I wasn't disappointed.
