Anyway even though I've never seen a film she was in I wish her a speedy recovery.

Nope I don't believe I have. Which is strange because I really like Tom Hanks as an actor. I'll have to put it on my list of films to watch.

It's brilliant. Some great people in it, Hanks, Fisher, Corey Feldman, Bruce Dern. A true 80's classic.

That must be pretty horrible :/, especially if you still need to keep shocking them and administering drugs to try and get the heart working again!

Human nature. When people we don't know die, it doesn't really affect us that much.

People feel a sense of connection to people that are famous or well known. Especially when its someone they like or admire. So when such a person dies, it almost feels like you lost a friend. Even though its someone you probably never even clapped eyes on in person, let alone met.

I was working on cardiac children's intensive care so it wasn't that out of the ordinary.

No shocking required, just good CPR and adrenaline until we get the ECMO up and running.
