Overwatch

I just got this game for christmas the online is great because there are plenty of players and every match I have 20ms ping.

I'm playing with xbox 360 pad and thought it might be hard playing against keyboard and mouse but I just turned the sensitivity right down and it seems easy the only one I have trouble shooting is the ninja.

Played my first rank match yesterday seems a lot more organized and fun than the quick match, it rated me as gold so really happy with that.

Road Hog is the main character I been using he seems so easy to use just keep healing and hooking.

Wouldn't it take ages just turning around with a controller on low sensitivity?

I watched an Xbox stream of Overwatch and everyone took ages simply turning around, it was kinda funny to watch :D

I'd be curious to see what rank you'd end up at after a few 100 games with that controller limitation

Yes if you stand still and do a 360 turn it takes around 2 full seconds.

I used to play a lot of halo 3 and I found the only way I could hold the cross hair steady on their head was to play on sensitivity 1 so started playing on 1 and as this was much slower than everyone one else so I had to play the game a little differently but after a while got used to the low sensitivity and managed to rank up to level 49.

Road Hog seems to suit my play style and good match for me and my pad.

If you really got into the game and wanted to rank up would you consider switching to mouse and keyboard?

Whenever I get near Diamond I SoloQ and end up with people being absolute tools, unreal the number of absolute whoppers I've ran into.

Ends up being 5v6 because someone starts sulking and throws the game

A pad going up against a decent genji, tracer or phara is the stuff of nightmares.

Genji is horrible with roadhog/pad if he bouncing round your head seems near on impossible. Not had too much trouble with tracer so far seems one well timed hook and she dead same with phara so far not had too much trouble hitting her as long as she in range.

I will be getting into this game I'm really enjoying it but no I would never switch to keyboard and mouse I enjoy playing on the sofa and would never be comfortable sat at a desk. Plus a mountain bike accident left me with no movement in my right wrist which makes mouse use a bit awkward.

Bought this over Christmas just managed to get 25 and completed my placement games solo and was given and SR of 2733.

Really enjoying the short games compared to something like DOTA. ie getting a retard on your doesn't waste nearly an hour of your day.

Lots of moaning about toxic players in here... I've yet to find any really. Lots of people adding as friends and generally less retards than DOTA.

Overall really enjoying it just wished I'd picked it up sooner!

If I could play Symmetra as main I would. I have crazy stats on tighter defense maps with her, but people would start shouting if I use her on attack.

She's actually surprisingly good on attack now. Once you have your shield up, she's got a decent HP pool, andher auto lock on beam weapon means if you get in close and jump around like a maniac it's really hard for people to hit you wile you melt them. Good fun :D

Had a pretty good season 3 so far, still the usual idiots but got to Top 500 with Pharah which has been pretty nice

OT, but congrats on how you've grown your twitch channel. I was watching the other day, it's really taken off hasn't it! You've made your own style and put the time and effort in, glad to see you reaping the rewards. :)

What's an average SR?

About to finish my first 10 ranking matches..

Is it your first season?

If not, it will be within 200-300 points of your season 2 rank. If it's your first, then it's hard to tell.

I'd say the "average" SR where most people are ranked is between 2200 and 2600.

2200, which i'm happy with considering I am a terrible player according to everyone on my teams!!! I think I'll just spare them the grief and play non-competitive

Been getting hammered in competitive. Its my first season and I'm rank 50 so not much playtime.
Here's the problem: the game pairs me up with idiots. I'm consistently hitting gold damage/eliminations and I'm almost certain my team a standing back and laughing at me do the work.

I can't be the only one with this problem. I started on 2250 after the placement games but now I'm down to 2000 due to the team pairings, seriously every game I go into someone wants to be hanzo or torb and we get smashed.

Suggestions?
