I've been a member of the forum for around 8 years although post infrequently as this is only my 179th post. I usually browse or go through periods of posting about a certain topic.
Three weeks ago I got a "Warning" for posting a word which intentionally resembled a swear word. It was posted with humour intended.
A few days ago in th3 - "what do you do whilst drunk" thread:
https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18763476
I posted a sentence like "I usually watch <censored> on YouTube". The word I posted I had stared out other than the first/last character. Apparently this is against the rules.
I got a 48 hour ban for this.
I really enjoy the forum but find this approach to banning people rather than effectively communicating with them or reviewing it sensibly a really negative approach.
I wasn't offensive,or aggressive. I intend to abide by the rules and continue posting but just wanted to voice this opinion
