I don't normally post in here but I've been playing ultimate team for donkeys years. I have to echo a lot of people's sentiments in here about the gameplay. How can a patching process go on through testing and be passed when it completely nerfs the game? Defending is trash, through balls now always seem to have just a bit to much power so they get to the keeper or completely bypass your player, scoring also now seems near enough impossible as well.

I just don't understand why they meddle with things and make themselves look like a bunch of mugs and in the process ruin it for everyone else?

I haven't even touched on the glitching yet.... seriously how did that even come about?
 
Naingollan is likely to get another if , his goal he just scored was another worldie! Not playing FIFA I don't think until he patch is fixed unless it doesn't affect single player career mode I might put some time into that

Although have to agree, what a peach.
 
I don't know what they've done to the game but I'm bloody awful at it, must have lost about 5 in a row then fluked a penalty shootout.
 
Not noticed much difference apart from the glitch and fullbacks running up the pitch more. Some games seem slightly slower but others dont which i just put down to connection.

Had two good games against Quinnayyyyyyyyy last night.

I managed to win both games but got very lucky (especially in the 1st.) If Quinnay could finish, he would be dangerous. IF Icardi had 2/3 clear 1 on 1's in both games and missed. His team is dreamy though, he wasn't joking about SIF Salah. Nice to actually chat on the mic aswell and not just be abuse.:D

Got nothing in my rewards :(.

Used to defend manually but realised how op ai defending was this year couple that with **** manual switching then you bet I'm gonna use it.

Post patch, they didn't just nerf the ai defending but also made manual switching even worse.

I don't mind manual defending as long as they fix the manual switching.

Anytime I go into a match now and get the lead, I fear the other opponent is just going to do the glitch. :o
 
So can someone post a link to a decent video or tutorial about how to manually defend? I've been scuppered by this AI change, and it's not that I rely on AI defending (not something that I've been consciously aware of) but it is sort of handy in a game when the AI is controlling 90% of your team, that they act in some sort of organised manner :).
 
I wouldn't say I relied on AI defending, I usually defending manually around my box, what is killing me this game is how little my players react when the ball is travelling past them at low speed. I'll be controlling a defender, the opponent will pea roll a ball across the box, the game will give me the player closest to the guy the ball is aimed at, while the CPU controls a defending the ball trickles past, and he makes no move to intercept it - and there is nothing I can do about it because I can't possibly player switch and manually intervene in that time.
 
I try jockeying where it's all about timing, but particularly hard against teams who just knock it about and dribble in a painstaking manner.

Got absolute trash from my rewards, duplicates of Nolito and Sterling.

Thought I was rolling through seasons (Div 4) on 8 points when I got an absolutely trash 4 run losing streak full of jammy so and so's. Managed to hold, but man it's infuriating.

Yeah enjoyable games, felt unlucky missed some sitters and conceded some pretty poor goals. Usually my finishing is on point played about 6 games 2 against you 2 against another friend and 2 online and had a disconnect. 4 out of the 6 games my finishing wasn't there and I hit the woodwork over 8 times which is strange.. I'd better get back to old ways sharpish :D I need justice so will have to have a game or two when both online (y)
