Resident Evil 7 Soon ;) cant wait..... :)

VR is intense as hell, I kinda feel bad for people not playing in VR as they are really missing out!

Not had a game crap me up like this since....Well ever really.

I can imagine mate, completed it a little earlier and I look forward to replaying again once I get a Vive 2 when it comes out; by then I hope there will be more games released worth playing in VR like this :)

I think 20 is a touch optimistic but I can see it being 25 within a month, has happened to pretty much every recent release.

Capcom don't tend to let their games drop dramatically in price at retail that quickly. RE5 and 6 held their price for absolutely ages.

This and VR. So damn intense but so brilliant at the same time! Everyone should at least try this game in VR as I feel it adds so much to it

Managed about an hour in VR utterly loved it, friends were watching me play it on twitch. Wife walked past and one said forget your wife just get out the house lol

I managed a little more playtime tonight.

The monster guys are pretty hard to kill with just the knife and handgun ammo is scarce. But thankfully I got the shotgun, which chews through them. I managed to take down Jack in the dissection room. Pretty hard fight. Its useless even trying to shoot him, just gotta keep out of his reach and use the body bags to stun him till you can get the chainsaw. Even then its not easy. Died several times before I managed it.

Just found the other two dog heads and proceeded outside. That seems like a good spot to call it a night. Can't wait to see what happens next, though why the guy wouldn't just go running off into the distance now that he's outside is beyond me...

That is where I died most. At least 6 times before I figured it out :o:)

I'm just over an hour in and only stopped due to the VR pressing in on my temples.

Love this. So so good!

Early spoiler;

When Mia comes and attacks you for the first time and you get the axe was fantastic, literally went full Londoner Mike Strutter and wanted to head butt her!

Another one;

Sitting around the table was so good as the scene unfolded.

Lots of people playing this with VR it seems. I'm on Xbox, still worth getting?

For sure. It's a nice, slow paced, return to RE's horror roots. It's different, so don't expect a completely faithful nod to the original games, but so far it's been good fun. With some really gory moments! Only 3 hours in so far an can't wait for the weekend to get stuck back in.

A couple more hours playtime under my belt.

I explored the old house, got the flamethrower and managed to kill Margurite in the greenhouse. This boss fight was easier than the first, only taking me two attempts. I was lucky she died when she did though, because I was down to 11 handgun bullets and 6 flame fuel at the end.

A good pro tip is after the battle is over, be sure the search the greenhouse from top to bottom. It is packed full of consumables and odds are you wont find them all during the battle itself. Even if you have to go back to the trailer to offload stuff in the item box, its worth it in the long run.

Has anyone tried playing standing up? It's a little odd as it feels like you're 5ft tall - but stand on tip toes and recenter the view and it's great. Ducking down to see what's under stuff etc it puts you in the game even more.

I have **** myself three times while playing tonight. Twice from the game and once when my better half thought it'd be funny to grab me while sneaking about! We had some words.

Great game and in VR I've honestly never experienced anything like it.

Was thinking about getting this but Im a bit of a chicken when it comes to scary games. Did just about manage to complete Until Dawn.
How does it compare for scare factor?
