Correct me if I'm wrong but at the very least could the OP not claim the tax back on the 45p allowance through HMRC?

You've been given a free car and you also want free fuel?
They're only advisory but you should, if they're normal, be being offered 9-13p per mile depending on your car.

Suggest you speak with Dave R in accounts and he will have forms for you......
Or, as it's the company you work for, ask someone who you work with who you know there.
