Atleast he put it (almost) upfront that today won't be a Vega launch - stops people getting disappointed unnecessarily.

I think its endearing. Getting clearly very awkward engineers up on stage to talk up their stuff without most of the PR fluff is nice/entertaining. Lets face it, nerds are the only ones watching anyway :p
