Are we over showering/bathing?

I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

Do you also take estrogen suppliments?

I shower twice a week for 2 minutes at the most and I don't use soap but I clean my armpits and crack every day.
This is not new, I've known for decades that you shouldn't use soap or shower every day unless you have a hard job.

Ewwwwwwwwww, smelly git.

Damn it. Now I want to watch that film again.

People do not know they are born this day and age - We each had a baked bean tin that was filled with hot water - you went somewhere out of way and with a piece of cotton wool had a wash down - you changed underwear once a week whether you needed to or not and socks every 6 weeks unless you got them soaked in rain then it was 12 weeks - One towel between 5 of us and hung it in front of fire to dry for next one.:p:p:p

I have to say since we moved and don't have a bath which I used every day and lay there till water got cold I have to do with a shower but don't find it gets in the places a bath does - so to be honest I haven't felt clean for last seven years since we have been here.

I think people lie on these sort of threads :)

My consultant dermatologist advised me to only show a maximum of three times per week. And to be honest, when you're constantly slathered in all manner of creams and then wrapped in bandages (all of which have their own bloody application timetables) something as simple as finding the time to shower is horrible.

I'm sure we get this thread every year!

The longest you should go for a shower is a day and a sleep. If you have showered on Monday morning and then don't shower on Tuesday evening (Wednesday morning absolute latest) you are walking bin juice.
