What watch do you wear?

Going to need to replace the bottom springbar soon as I've managed to get a bend in the bottom one today on the Pelagos.

Was walking through some glass automatic doors when they began to close as I was walking past.

It caught my wrist and the door edge must have slapped the bezel pretty hard as the springbar came off leaving the watch dangling on the top springbar only, luckily it was on a NATO strap so it stayed on my wrist

I imagine genuine springbars require an arm and leg being traded in...

What's the general perception of Tudor watches? Is it a bit 'couldn't afford a Rolex so settled'? I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers just genuinely curious. As they look almost identical. I believe made by Rolex too but a fraction of the price (although still not 'cheap'). Or is it a respected brand in itself?

nah, I thought the same, but was surprised when I got a new one as part of a recent service. Gen rolex springbars are £9 from RSC

Often a misconception, this is all you need to know about the brand: http://www.watchfinder.co.uk/info/Tudor-History

As for current models, whether it's ETA or in-house powered, you will be getting a reliable watch that is built well and has enough USP in each model to offset itself against Rolex models at nearly twice the price. Black Bay, Pelagos etc have features that no Rolex model has.

I've got a Rolex and I'd more than happily wear a Pelagos I think their colour combinations offer something Rolex don't and the pricing makes them hard to ignore given the quality :)

Thanks for the info. Interesting. Although the bit about no resellers selling new ones is bit out of date as goldsmiths etc are all stovking new ones now.

Yes ignore the final paragraph, it was written by them when Tudor didn't have an AD presence in the UK, which they now do :p

You bought Houseys?

Nah this was from watches of switzerland in Manchester when I was up on business, it winked at me and it's been a while since I had a Breitling on my wrist.

nice piece, the AR is awesome feels like I could reach in and touch the dials & hands

Nice :) are you up here on business often? What kind of discount did you manage to negotiate from them percentage wise?
