THIS IS SPARTAAAHHH!I think the UK government should mandate that if a child is not vaccinated, that the child puts everyone else at risk and should be excluded from citizenship.
Absolutely no way should the government have the power to legally enforce vaccinations, but I completely support making life far more difficult for those that don't vaccinate their children.
As much as I am for immunization I certainly would not want the government to have power over what gets jabbed into my son or daughter.
They may be aware of what the consequences are but if they fail to make the right choice, then they clearly dont understand it. There is a big difference in being made aware and understanding it. We all know what the potential consequence of smoking can be but we still do it to the day we regret it and often moaning half the time about how it would be nice to give up and save money. At the end of the day, it effects the child's life and other children's lives. I just dont think its worth pandering to a parents ego in thinking that because they batter dipped their cranny axe in someones gut locker, they have the right to make medical risk assessments beyond their capabilities on a child. It should be the choice of the parent.. if they decide not to then they understand the consequences.
Our kids seem to becoming more a possession than our flesh and blood nowadays.
I believe vaccination should be mandatory but no enforceable by law
Unless I am abusing the child or neglecting them then yes it is my right as the creator of that human being to decide on there welfare.
That's exactly what it means...No your missing my point.. I didn't say legal requirement is said mandatory surely that's not the same thing.
I was always only ever against the legal action / fining of parents..
Taking away access or giving nurseries the right to refuse kids based on the Vax status is a better way of doing it.
What the Aussies are doing is just that.. there still is no legal requirement to vaccinate the kids but those who don't will loose certain benefits.
Unless I am abusing the child or neglecting them .
OK not mandatory then.. a requirement to be able to access certain benefits or access to nurseries
Not giving your children a vaccine is abusing them in my opinion. You are basically putting their lives at risk because of your own stupidity and lack of understanding of the facts surrounding immunisation.
If a parents child dies from a disease that could have been prevented with a vaccine they should be put in prison for manslaughter if you ask me.
i seem to remember even the people who started that info about autism have said it was flawed research. Then two of my wife's friends are neglecting their kids.. neither have vaccinated because of certain stories hey have read about the increased chance of Autism.. again i don't agree with what they have done as the benefits are there.
Yes, your wife's friends are neglecting their children. Then two of my wife's friends are neglecting their kids.. neither have vaccinated because of certain stories hey have read about the increased chance of Autism.. again i don't agree with what they have done as the benefits are there.
I personally think immunisation of children should be required by law, with multiple medical bodies scrutinising the compulsory immunisations but Australians method of threatening peoples childcare rebates puts a financial weight into the decision while still leaving the decision in the hands of the parents.
Unless I am abusing the child or neglecting them then yes it is my right as the creator of that human being to decide on there welfare.
People believe it stupid things ('alternative' medicine, religion etc..) and do stupid things as a result. Perhaps their ought to be some consequences for them though - maybe when the child reaches adulthood they ought to be able to sue their parents over these sorts of things if they resulted in some harm to them.
