Anyone else cut their own hair?

No. 3 all over, and get the back trimmed up nicely by my old man.

I cant be faffing going to hairdressers,As long as my hair is tidy thats it,Although people tell me short hair suits me anyway so all is good. :)

I use to go the the hairdresser, until one time where I came back with some sort of fungu/bug and started to lose hair. We don't lose hair in my family, so it turns out the hairdressers don't clean their tools properly, despite what they might claim. Never returned!
Now I use n4's ont he side/back, and a bit of creative work on the top, and my wife cleans up the back. Takes 10 minutes.

I've never seen them clean anything between clients. Just a quick brush off of the chair and hair on the floor swept to one side then the next guy gets in the chair. Did the lost hair grow back?

Giving yourself a grade 1 all over isn't cutting your hair :p

Wish I could do my own, the sides always grow fast and unruly but I'd never be able to blend it in with the top

Yes! Luckily, it took a while tho, it was rather annoying. Had to use special shampoo for about 3 months as well.

I go to the barbers, skin fade on the sides and a trim on top.

I wouldn't have the skill to do it myself and I like my hair looking nice so I don't mind paying.

I had a shaved head for about 10 years which my wife did for me, but I like having hair at the moment :)

I look ridiculous and ugly enough as it is.

I don't need a shoddy "DIY Haircut" to give people yet another reason to laugh at me

The trick is using 2 mirrors for doing the back. I can do a pretty decent short back and sides, although it takes longer than a barber.

This.

I use a handheld mirror and the large bathroom mirror. 2 back and sides and 7 on top. Then use a 4 to blend them together. Another trick I've mastered when doing the back/sides is to shave upwards and outwards instead of just sideways, takes the edge off.

Been doing this for many years now after getting sick of queueing for ages on a Saturday morning in the barbers and paying money for something I can do easily myself.
