Shots fired outside parliament - Please refrain from speculative and antagonistic posts

Had to turn the news off. The churning of sheer speculation resulting in non news is frustrating.

This thread isn't much different though :D

Maddening isn't it? Feels massively disrespectful as well. Some poor people are fighting for there lives whilst all this wild speculation flies around just so we have something to talk about in the office or on a thread.
 
Seems so atm. Sounds like he drove up the bridge, crashed by the gate, ran in with a knife and got shot.

I don't mean to belittle the event, it's horrific. But this doesn't appear to be a 7/7 level event - media is in complete panic mode.

Good thing he didn't have a gun. Local gangster kids seem to get them easily enough.
 
It's also odd that it appears news outlets are saying that he tried to then drive through the gate. That gate has a huge concrete base and iron bars.

I don't think his intellect had much of a role to play in his actions.
