Shots fired outside parliament - Please refrain from speculative and antagonistic posts

I'm not with the general hysteria. Just because some nutjob decides to do a cowardly thing and use a car as a weapon , intentionally , we all go into one. In the name of religion.

Sure, it's a sad thing for the people in the wrong place at the wrong time, but over 1700 people were killed on the roads in this country in 2015 , 22,000 were seriously injured, 162,000 were slightly injured.

Get a grip.

And police officers stabbed to death? how many of those in 2015?

Thoughts are with the families of those who have passed / been injured. Nothing much else to say.

Why do people say this though,
I just heard the same on BBC News.

They believe it was one person acting alone (shot dead).

Oh I know I dont get the whole thoughts and prayers thing, well of course we're thinking about it, we're normal human beings, its ******* depressing is what it is.

News outlets are saying it was a male office killed?

Most of them would have been accidental and not attacks outside our parliment, if you dont get how serious this is then its you that needs to get a grip,

the guy was yards away from getting into parliment, if there had been more of them with better weapons who knows what could have happened.

Not even remotely comparable. How many of those road deaths were intentional?

IDS on the BBC said it was a female officer.

The difference is that this was intentional while most road deaths are accidental and unintentional.

Does it not beggar belief that there was no CCTV monitoring the situation so close to a highly guarded area. No communication?

Of course they have loads of CCTV covering that area, what you have to remember though is that from the start of the attack to when the murderer was shot will be a very short space of time.
Not much you can do to prevent this type of cowardly attack, RIP to the victims

This wasn't really your typical road accident, was it?

That area of London is absolutely packed with CCTV covering every corner. The company I used to work for installed most of the CCTV around London Bridge... every little spot is covered with 1080p cameras (static and PTZ). It will be even more comprehensive around Westminster. As others mentioned, you can't do much about random spontaneous attacks like this.

WTF are you on about?

Cctv would have shown a car driving down the road. You know, like the millions of other cars that drive down roads.

Isn't that one of the benefits of CCTV, capturing random attacks? Although it doesn't make sense to release it straight away but there's enough (or should be) to capture most of what happened.
