Shots fired outside parliament - Please refrain from speculative and antagonistic posts

Corbyn has just been on SKY and made a point of saying how tragic it was that some French tourists were mown down.
Never even mentioned the poor dead Policeman, the bloke is despicable.

Outside Government headquarters?

Well? Yes actually. Quite an important place - for some.

I will ask you directly - how long do you think the event took from start to finish? please , watch the video`s showing the timeline of events before you reply (I have posted 1)

It happened within minutes, it wasn't a slow drive over the bridge with reverse parking by the gate. Even if it was picked up by a CCTV operator it would still have taken time to respond and get a call out - by which time it was most likely over.

Ok, so on your mythical world where this cctv is watched at all times... what then? What happens from the moment the car first hits a pedestrian on Westminster bridge? Tell me the sequence of events as you imagine it, which is resolved with no further injury or less of life in less than four minutes.

Not "that" difficult to monitor a space 24/7 is it?

How do you think Aeroplanes move around the sky above your head?

Aeroplanes, eh? Remember 9/11? All the air traffic control in the world couldn't stop that. Bad comparison.

Any plans on how you'd have stopped the attack then?

Step 1: CCTV
Step 2: ?????
Step 3: Profit!

Even if someone was watching that camera 24/7, how quickly could they have reacted? How quickly could the police have reacted in response? Seems to me the whole event was over in the space of a minute or so, you're expecting too much.

Not that difficult?

How many CCTV operators do you think are employed in London? They are reactive not proactive.

INCIDENT on bridge. Be Aware. 30 seconds later - LOCKDOWN - Terrorist attack. Draws weapon. Prepares for further eventuality.

So the camera operator makes the call? nope - he`s fired for that - has to go up the food chain to some paid to be responsible. You do know how chain of command works ?

errm. CCTV would have seen a car plowing down innocent pedestrians on the pavement and some nutjob then going on to plow into the gates outside the HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT.

If only someone had actually been monitoring that situation.

Eh?

What do you think happens, he runs over people on the road, a guy monitors it live, he immediately shouts an alert.... in doing so tanks immediately appear out of thin air blocking off the route the guy wanted to take and blowing him to pieces? They could have screamed an alert within a few seconds, but a car travelling at speed 10 seconds away from the fence he's about to crash into isn't going to be stopped by an immediate response, because the immediate response is sending a message, at that point someone starts up a car or runs towards a car to get into it. You still have a vehicle moving at speed to stop.

Someone will have very likely been watching, seen it happen and there been absolute no where near enough time to prevent him crashing into the fence.
